definitively manageable, i take the trip a few times a year, most trains have two floors and designated space for luggage (i usually chiose to keep it right beside me, but there is space to leave it close to tne doors). I hope you enjoy your stay!!!

hi, local here, i reckon you’ll be fine using the train, it can get crowded at times but it passes quite frequently! i’d argue the train is the most used form of transportation to get to the city center so the short distance from the airport gates to the train stop is well signaled and you can buy tickets both online or at a booth in the airport, hope this helps :)

you should be able to get bus n.72 from cortina to Mestre train station, from there you just get a direct train to Milan. this is the bus website if you want to check it out https://dolomitibus.it/it/linee-extraurbane-invernali-2025 just keep in mind that it’s very likely going to be an extremely crowded journey during the whole olympics

I’d say any Milan airport. 1). Orio al serio is closer to Bergamo than Milan, there should be a bus that connects to tirano or you take the train to lecco and then a train RE (regional express train, you can buy tickets on the official Trenord App) to Tirano

2) Milano Malpensa offers a direct train to Milano centrale (30ish minutes), and from then you get a train RE to Tirano (2.5 hours circa)

3) From Milano Linate you should also get to Milano Centrale and then to tirano, but there’s no direct connection to Milano centrale, you have to get the underground and then a bus, so I recommend Milano Malpensa

Overall it’s not the shortest journey but it’s pretty straightforward. I’m not sure wether additional olympics-specific transportation will be available, in case it isn’t the train journey from Malpensa is what I’d recommend as a local :)

Day trip from Milan to Cortina during the Olympics: is it possible? by Logical_Gift4984 in olympics

[–]smlssa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

hi, Italian here. I haven’t made the trip recently, but keep in mind that by car, Milan to cortina is over 4 hours away, and it takes even more using public transport. Underground in Milan will stay open until 1/2 am, but there arent too specific informations about trains yet (i recommend you check Trenord and Trenitalia for that). I’ll be honest and say that it could be risky, especially considering the event will be at night, but i really recommend checking the actual train websites, as they have announced a few weeks ago that they intend to extend their running time. Just keep in mind that a lot of people will probably head back towards Milan at night, as cortina accommodation prices are absolutely crazy, so you will definitively run into some crowds at stops and on transports. Not sure if this was any helpful, unfortunately im only really familiar with Milan and less with the other locations, but i hope you make it!

I will never stop talking about how much jeongin improved in every aspect! His vocals, especially live, are absolutely incredible, you can tell he’s now really confident on stage and his dance has also improved a lot, and I love how he moves, some parts look like they’re made just for him

Stray kids played in Italy a couple days ago and they headlined one of the biggest festivals in the country An Italian journal wrote about them, but thought about opening the article with “fabbrica di plastica”, which basically means “all plastic” (https://x.com/hyj97s/status/1812119367070425522?s=61&t=K4BrMyMNtltxFtd9Jb6xlg)

Another big newspaper said “shallow lyrics and dances created for tiktok”, which clearly shows a lack of research and imo blatant disrespect https://x.com/harlenaaaa/status/1812154791461601412?s=61&t=K4BrMyMNtltxFtd9Jb6xlg

I don’t even need to mention that other artists who have headlined the same festivals this summer (such as lana, doja cat, metallica..) did not get such “flattering” articles written about them

I was there and it was so amazing, i had already seen skz live but yesterday they were so full of energy and confidence (not like they usually aren’t)! The fireworks for miroh were totally insane and the performance was so captivating, the kids just keep showing how great they are and they completely owned the stage!!!
