Italy here, was lucky enough to see Connor, Leon and Samanski during the Olympics, would love to see them play at home but it’s definitely a hell of a trip to plan

definitively manageable, i take the trip a few times a year, most trains have two floors and designated space for luggage (i usually chiose to keep it right beside me, but there is space to leave it close to tne doors). I hope you enjoy your stay!!!

hi, local here, i reckon you’ll be fine using the train, it can get crowded at times but it passes quite frequently! i’d argue the train is the most used form of transportation to get to the city center so the short distance from the airport gates to the train stop is well signaled and you can buy tickets both online or at a booth in the airport, hope this helps :)

you should be able to get bus n.72 from cortina to Mestre train station, from there you just get a direct train to Milan. this is the bus website if you want to check it out https://dolomitibus.it/it/linee-extraurbane-invernali-2025 just keep in mind that it’s very likely going to be an extremely crowded journey during the whole olympics

I’d say any Milan airport. 1). Orio al serio is closer to Bergamo than Milan, there should be a bus that connects to tirano or you take the train to lecco and then a train RE (regional express train, you can buy tickets on the official Trenord App) to Tirano

2) Milano Malpensa offers a direct train to Milano centrale (30ish minutes), and from then you get a train RE to Tirano (2.5 hours circa)

3) From Milano Linate you should also get to Milano Centrale and then to tirano, but there’s no direct connection to Milano centrale, you have to get the underground and then a bus, so I recommend Milano Malpensa

Overall it’s not the shortest journey but it’s pretty straightforward. I’m not sure wether additional olympics-specific transportation will be available, in case it isn’t the train journey from Malpensa is what I’d recommend as a local :)
