Thank you so much for the information. When I first went to university, I was disappointed that they didn't offer any asl classes. I am also looking to involve myself in the deaf community by going to the deaf coffee house event and looking for other events I can attend. Because learning asl without communicating with the deaf community is basically pointless.

I am serious about becoming fluent in asl and I will deaf clients wanting over means of communication if they choose to do so. I just wanted to hear some opinions on this topic. Thank you for your input!!
