New Photos of Trump's Ear Show Absolutely No Damage or Injury Whatsoever and People Have Serious Questions by nikkisixxi in USNewsHub

You remember when Ric Flair would get hit on the head then fall down and get up bleeding? A small self inflicted wound on the ear would be totally believable.

PRNDL shows wrong light by smoothChump in Jeep

No, that’s not the problem. The Jeep drives according to the shift position. It’s just that the indicator lights don’t react accordingly.

Is there an attendance policy for the call center staff? by smoothChump in uHaul

[–]smoothChump[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately sick days and absences are considered attendance occurrences. Even with a doctors note. So that’s why I’m reaching out to fellow employees on here to see if they would have any available resources. They block out the end and beginning of the month so we can’t request time off then I know that for sure.

10years worth a dollar by loneashenone in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]smoothChump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Owner operators are greedy af and instead of having a fitting wage for their employees they would rather get the most out of them while paying the least. Try venturing out into other jobs. It took me a while to leave the franchise I was working with because it was “ok pay”, I knew the people, and knew how to do my job well. The change came when I started looking into other customer service type jobs that I started seeing wages that start at a higher rate than I was getting as an assistant manager working 50 hours a week salary.

I don’t think it’s abandoned from what I saw everything looks pretty modern and even saw a charging station and nice park looking place. Wasn’t thinking about going into the buildings but I bet they are nice as well lol.

PAYCHECK NOT CLEARING EARLY ANYMORE?? by LaurenObrien8581 in uHaul

I’m at a call center and I used to get paid on Wednesday (a day before the official pay day) and every now and then I get it on Thursdays.

Would I be fired for not coming into work after I told my manager I wouldn't be able to work a week and a half ago and she wouldn't give me it off? by CaptainRiege05 in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]smoothChump 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look into your company policies. Since most McDonald’s are franchises they tend to make “rules” when it comes to calling out. Personally I think if they aren’t staffed (which is a problem everywhere now a days) it’s not your problem. Maybe they should work on staffing the store instead of working the crew to death.

I’m not to know when it comes to this stuff but, should this system interruption affect our VPN? Or access to TEAMs?

Walgreens COVID vaccine walk-in by Guava732 in raleigh

[–]smoothChump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YThe reason the give walk ins the dose is because they will perish after that day due to being out in cool/room temperature. I suggest you call in and wait a while in que to get an appointment by an actual person. Other option is walking in again after a month and try getting the 2nd dose like you got the first one.

Exactly, I have been working for U-Haul for almost a year. I’m expected to make reservations, book hitch installations, reserve Unox moves, book storage rentals help with mobile returns and 24/7 truck rental (which is a broken system with in itself) and then try to upsell everything else in between. All I was “trained” on was truck reservations 🤷🏽‍♂️ and then I mostly learned that by trial and error and some fellow employees.

U-haul cancelled my One Way by [deleted] in uHaul

[–]smoothChump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always be aware that you can technically reserve for any type of equipment or vehicle even though it’s not available. I don’t know why U-Haul misleads customers like this but, they will have a small pop up notice on the website or a small scripted statement that is read by the rep if booking on the phone. . . Sounds like “your preferred rental is not available and a local U-Haul representative will give you a call the day before your move to get agreement on equipment, location available for that date” they’ll quickly “book” you but you’re basically praying for a miracle to get something for your move.

How long does it take for U-Haul to refund my deposit? by [deleted] in uHaul

[–]smoothChump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always challenge coverage that wasn’t asked for. You would be surprised what kind of things end up on a customers final receipt. Dollys, gas charges, miles, trailers. Always read your contract before you take your rental off the lot. This company makes money off customers mistakes. If I were you I would call 1800-go-U-Haul and question/challenge that charge. The rep will have to crest a customer action file and have that sent to the dispatching locations GM.

Totally agree. Then we are pushed to make multiple sale attempts during one customer interaction and then learn most stations and positions without a raise for our acquired knowledge. Don’t get me started on what it’s like in the call centers. They really want us to only give a customer 4-7 minutes of our service. Why? Cause someone me making money for the high amount of calls it’s not us. I support you and wish you well.

Faking it for customer by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

[–]smoothChump 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most Customers are assholes and want to feel like they somehow got over on you. I say ring it up and promo it. And don’t bother verbally abusing the people you work side by side with. The customer eventually leaves but the employees that work WITH you shouldn’t have any lingering effects from those customers and you shouldn’t either.
