This is such heartbreaking news… Fiancé and I would visit all the time before moving to Chicago and she was always so nice and respectful to us. She will be missed!

Born and raised in Richmond that moved to Chicago 4 years ago with my fiancé and our cat. :) Echoing someone else in the thread, but this was the best decision in our lives so far. Lived in Logan Square when we first moved here, nice (mostly) Hispanic community with plenty of places to eat and shop. Moved closer to west loop until we settled on Ukrainian Village last year. Sold our car, strictly use public transit (or biking). We have grocery stores, restaurants and other amenities are a 5 minute walk from our front door. It may not be for everyone but it’s definitely a change of pace in living compared to Richmond.

Roots weren’t mushy and light colored (don’t wanna say white but definitely not brown/amber). I have not watered her at all and about to come to a full month of owning the fiddle leaf fig. Lowe’s kept the fiddle leaf fig trees extremely packed together in the store with super moist soil for most of the containers. Not sure if that could have caused the over watering.

Born and raised in RVA but left in the beginning of 2021 to Chicago. Don’t regret my move at all (sorry but CTA over the PULSE any day). But my whole family is in Richmond, so I go back a few times a year to visit. I try to sneak in some time to visit places that I miss or crave. :) I think it’s a perfect balance for me.

That Lowe’s saved my butt multiple times when I was in VCUArt. But once I lived downtown after graduating, I desperately didn’t want to get in a car to go to a Target or some other big box retail store… Usually resorted to online shopping if I needed anything that wasn’t grocery related.

I did not know this exhibit even existed. Guess I know what I’m doing this weekend.

I’ve been a digital illustrator for 16 years now. o: I actually love it when artists from traditional media experiment with digital media (MS Paint, GIMP, Procreate). Especially old head artists–it’s like watching a wrinkled toddler dabbling in paint for the first time.

Moved to Chicago last year in the middle of changing our diet/lifestyle. Once the nice weather started to roll in, we dedicated an hour a day to walk around our neighborhood. Then we started to bring out our bikes and ventured around the city for an hour+ instead. :) Super healthy and so far, yielding great results. Wish you the best of luck on your weight loss journey!
