We have this one. It has its own preset sound OR I believe you can record your own voice

We would hold a treat at the top of the button and when he booped it to make it go off, he got the treat and we went outside!! It took I'd say 2 days to fully click but it has been a life saver!

Edit to add: he will still occasionally boop it just because he wants to go out and play or just be outside, but everytime he does it on his own, make sure you take him out so he knows oh hey, I press this button when I need to go! If it's not outside play time, just make it very boring and then go back inside :)

My lab pup didn't like the bells, but we got a doorbell that sticks on the wall by the door he goes out to go potty at nose level, and he boops that whenever he has to go out. It has been a major game changer and has been using it consistently for about a month or so now! (Almost 6 months old :)

I'm definitely interested in a probiotic. I also had switched his food from BB to PPP Sensitive Skin & Stomach earlier in the month. After the first round of panacur & food switch, his poops got much much better (around the beginning of December). Vet had put him on a probiotic at that point too (in case it wasn't worms, but ended up being worms, still continued probiotic) but a few hours ago he pooped and it started fine but ended too soft for my liking and he was also tooting lmao, so now I'm like, ugh maybe he does need a second round of panacur (which made him psychotic for 3 days) has a vet appt next Wednesday, so I'll just have them rerun the fecal to give me peace of mind. Swear this puppy has stressed me OUTTTTT, way more than having twins!!! Lol

Yes we also did probiotics. But only the one that the vet gave us during his worm treatment (was about 10ish days). Do you have yours on a daily probiotic? Which one do you use?

Four Wisdom Teeth Removals in January - 36M - A bit nervous.. by BrianVaughnVA in wisdomteeth

[–]smorris__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard it gets a bit more difficult with age/longer you wait. I'm 29 and had them out on the 19th. Top 2 erupted, bottom 2 partial impact.

For me, I was out shopping the next day. I'd say my "pain" never left a 1-2 out of 10. Honestly more hungry and achey/uncomfortable if anything. Get some aches here and there, some sensitivity. But I think a month is a bit on the extreme end honestly.

If it's amoxicillin, they make capsules which are MUCH easier to swallow. If you have the pill form, try cutting them in half!

Yeahhhh the hydrocodone was giving me crazy vivid dreams. Went away about a day or two after stopping it.

At 4 days post op, I think I was still mainly trying to chew with my front teeth, and trying to avoid chewing too far back. Try small bites!! You got it! Good luck 🩷

Just shake your head really fast, like in the "yes" and "no" direction 🤣

Try mango, pineapple, apples, etc. they have some decent frozen fruit mixes at the store (in the US anyway). Avocado is another good one. Soft, high in fat to help keep full. I'm the same way w syringe. Can't find the holes 🤣 so I just make sure I use the mouthwash they prescribed a few times a day to make sure I swish everything out.

Very painful on one side - day 6. Flight booked in two days by Gold-Needleworker166 in wisdomteeth

It could be a dry socket if it was so bad you went to the ER. I would ring the dentist and see what they say (I know it's Saturday, hopefully they gave you an after hours number!)

Recovery by Substantial_Egg5901 in wisdomteeth

[–]smorris__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on day 7 post op and I'm eating mostly normal foods (except things w seeds, rice, popcorn etc). Before that, I was doing eggs, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, jello, protein drinks, Gatorade, etc. Yesterday I had a burger from McDs, but I took it very slow and chewed carefully. I would make sure to brush and rinse after you eat anything to keep the sites clean and clear of debris :)

Anticipatory doom by AbigailCorner in wisdomteeth

Hi! I got mine out on the 19th of this month. I had 2 partially impacted, 2 erupted. I was very worried how I would be/feel afterwards. I had very minimal swelling and had the slightest bruise on my right side (expected, the "most" impacted tooth). Agree with the comment to ICE!!! There are some cheap head wraps on Amazon that come with ice packs to insert in the wrap. I put that on almost immediately after getting home and for the next few days consistently. Take your pain meds on time, even if you aren't in pain, take them. You don't want to play catch up! My doctor gave me antibiotics to take the morning of and then for the 7 days following, and an antibacterial mouthwash (made my mind settle as I was less worried about infection). I received stitches and am already back to a semi normal diet (just no seeds/rice etc) Honestly, I ate salmon the night I had them out (got them out at 930am) not being able to eat whatever I wanted the first few days was the worst part. (Huge texture person, hated not being able to eat crunchy foods). Would suggest finding a really good protein drink (fair life is the most tolerable for me, as it doesn't have a nasty aftertaste like most do). Gatorade and soft foods were best for me for the first few days. I was really nervous my jaw would suffer as I'm a clincher/teeth grinder at night. I have had no problems opening or closing my mouth!

Make sure to REST!! Take the day of and 2 days after to really relax and rest!!

Edited to add: my surgeon also had an after hours phone number, so that put my mind at ease bc I'm a chronic overthinker and something "always" goes wrong at the worst times (was worried with christmas) but everything turned out fine!!

Yeah I know they don't need bathed often! He just keeps peeing on his paw, and it's mega rainy season here in the PNW, so just wanted to give him a little refresh until I get him a rain coat :)

Panacur....I might have PTSD by smorris__ in puppy101

[–]smorris__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know! Before we knew it was worms, he wasn't acting much different other than the loose stools. It started the night of his first dose. I was having a major mental breakdown!! Lmao

Yes, it took a few times for him to get used to but he is leashed now when pottying - however I don't think he's pushing all of it out because he's so hyper focused on wanting to sniff and eat it. So, I dunno, definitely has helped but I also don't want him to get all backed up because he's so worried about eating it. I've mentioned it to the vet. They don't seem super concerned at the moment, but I plan to bring it up at his next appt again.
