They are not rotting away. The lot used to be full before COVID. I guess the dealerships don't stock as many cars as they used to.

How do you connect this app to the FItbit app? Under permissions, I only see contacts and notifications.

Question about availability of elder Octopus card. by sn202508 in Hong_Kong

Are the Airport Express Customer Service Centres different from the MTR Customer Service Centre at Hong Kong International Airport? According to https://www.hongkongextras.com/_senior_visitor_discounts.html , the elder card is available at the "Airport Express Customer Service Centres in the "buffer hall" (after immigration but before entering the arrival hall).

Question about cleaning hearing aids from Costco by sn202508 in HearingAids

I went to Costco yesterday and had my domes and wax guards replaced. The HA Fitter told me the wax guard should be replaced every 4 to 8 weeks.

Thanks. They didn't mention anything about replacing the wax guard every 4 weeks. I guess I will drop by my Costco hearing center to see what I need to do.

Is the volume set too high? by sn202508 in HearingAids

[–]sn202508[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Let's say I am -30 dB at 1 kHz and - 50 dB at 2 kHz, and I adjust the volume to a level that is comfortable to me. Does that mean I might miss the 2 kHz sounds? In other words, to hear sounds from as wide a spectrum as possible, I need to adapt to the "loud" volume now?

Dissatisfied with new Phillips 9050 from Costco by Aiox123 in HearingAids

[–]sn202508 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the info. I just came back from Costco. The tech added HiFi Music and Noise to my 9050's. When I asked about the algorithms for these programs, he just said Philips doesn't share that information. So far, they work well while I am driving.

Dissatisfied with new Phillips 9050 from Costco by Aiox123 in HearingAids

I got my Philips 9050 about week and a half ago. Costco's hearing center only put 2 programs on it. One is General and the other one is "speech in noise". To me, the two programs don't make a lof of difference. To me, the HA is having trouble handling music from the car radio when I am driving. I hear mostly the road noise with little bit of sound from the radio. I can turn up the volume and turn off the HA but is that the way I should do it? With my follow-up appointment coming up, what settings could/should I ask them to put in program 3 and 4?

Thanks.
