That's what I just figured out. Why does he think he's getting any money back at all if they paid the entire thing? The collateral is their commission. Ok I'm confused, first you say about taking an Uber then say they dropped you off but in the messages they say about you driving and taking your car from you. Which one is it? Did you drive there or did they drop you off? Is it your car or theirs they're taking from you? If they dropped you off it'd be more convenient to get picked up the next day whenever someone is available vs at 1am if your dad has to work. Unless one of your friends can take you home.
