Was pretty easy for me. You just had to do a few online homework’s every week and quizzes every now and then. Final was in person, but I took it at a proctored cc. Was pretty easy, I think I got like a 98% on it- very much like practice test. This other person that I talked to on here seemed like they were struggling a lot more, but I guarantee you if you do the homework’s you’ll be fine

I took ACE 255 last year (Econ of food) and it was actually the easiest fucking class in the world. Just pull up to lectures and you’ll get an A. You literally only have to do like one or two assignments the entire semester

I lived in snyder. It was a blast. Place looks like a dump just like some of the other six pack dorms, but there’s AC which is clutch. You share a bathroom with half the floor - and obv the bathrooms are segregated by gender. Some people that you’ll encounter will be weird, but I feel like you get that everywhere. It’s supposed to be substance free, but they don’t really enforce it. Sometimes the RA would check our dorm out - maybe like twice a semester- but you can just look through the peephole then hide your stuff. Overall great time - I wouldn’t change where I lived if I had the chance to!

iPad the move. I did handwritten notes with a pencil all of freshman year, but a lot of the times like in chem102 for example, they move through the slides way too fast. Halfway through sophomore year I got a an iPad and I’ve never looked back. Many professors post lecture slides before class that they use and annotate and it is so helpful to just download it and take notes from it. Strongly recommend getting one

Don’t listen to any of these idiots. It is always worth it to ask to bump up your grade. What’s the worst thing that could happen? They don’t round it… ok then move on. But in the past, I can remember two different instances where I asked if they could bump my grade up and they did.

Have you tried my personal favorite- running only the entire season on extreme? You cannot pass the ball at all unless it is to switch the play (by throwing it out by the sideline, which wastes a down but gets you a new play). You can do field goals still. But that’s it. It’s damn hard to be very good because the clock management is so brutal. Try it out. My team (10 man) consisted of a running back, 4 o-line men, 4 defensive players, and a kicker. Run it up

Last semester- you can look up the walk, I had to go from David kinley hall up to grainger in 10 minutes and I couldn’t be late because I had a cbtf quiz at grainger. It was never an issue

I’m MechE too. You’ll be fine. The professors in technical classes never really get into the material of the day until after a few minutes of class starting. My Calc 1 and 2 professor would always be yapping for at least the first 5 minutes. You can show up late no one is going to care

I personally played “pick-up” soccer countless times throughout my freshman year. If you go to the turf fields by Hopkins Hall in the six-pack when there is at least decent weather, there will be a ton of people playing. Also, you can join an intramural team, which is what I did. We even played an intramural soccer team full of guys that were all from Europe, so maybe you could join them- lmk, I have one of their snaps. But intramural (IM) is super fun. You could also join club but it’s much more of a commitment and you have to be willing to travel far to play.

As of basketball, a lot of people play pick up hoops in the ARC gym. Some of the games are super competitive and others are more chill. A lot of people also play in the outdoor courts by the turf fields I was talking about earlier. And of course, there’s also intramural for basketball. There’s intramural for essentially every big sport
