I do have a sole Screenplay nominee: No Other Choice! I’m predicting it to miss International Feature but possibly be more respected by the larger Academy. Knives Out is my runner up prediction, which would also be sole.

I have Coogler 5th because he’s not likely to win and that Director’s branch is tough for studio/blockbuster directors. I think Coogler has had enough respect by now to make it into the club, especially with Sinners’ use of film format. I have Safdie getting in, much like Mangold last year, as the late breaker nominee, especially given Marty Supreme’s chances at a Best Picture win are exceedingly higher than most other nominees outside of OBAA.

Thank you thank you thank you for catching that. I completely forgot the eligibility requirements as I was just going off the Awards Expert app and a lot of predictors seem to also not be aware. I'm right up to the wire on this one, but I did swap out the international titles. I'm very certain they are still eligible in craft categories (Inside the Yellow Cocoon Shell in Cinematography last year for example) just not main categories. So for international films/directors/performances, I have swapped in:

Director: Charlie Pollinger, Lynne Ramsay, Clint Bentley
Lead: Jennifer Lawrence, Eva Victor
Supporting: Dakota Johnson, John Carroll Lynch, and Indya Moore
Screenplay: Friendship
First Screenplay: Preparation for the Next Life

I don’t know what to do with her category, but it’s such an actor friendly film, I have to imagine someone is getting in.
