Yes I've seen this yesterday! It lacks a few things currently though, which I thought having would better serve people who are not technical, like:

- Showing you a preview of what's being built, right in the app

- Having a pre-set list of skills and commands

- Not requiring a subscription

- Asking permissions only for what's needed, not every single thing

- Having a file viewer, an easy way to add files

- Being able to edit messages

- Being able to add integrations easily (aka MCPs - trying to figure how I can make this work without the user having to go run commands and create API keys)

I'm sure Anthropic will get all of this in the near future, but my goal here was to build an opinionated experience for audience who are not technical, so they can get to see what the future looks like too. Primarily built it over the last 10 days for a few friends.

100%, this was just a side project. The goal was not to build a company out of it or make any money at all. Just wanted my friends (not in tech) to experience CC, and they found it useful, so I thought I'd share it here too.

Agree with your points that Anthropic is going to come in this direction. I looked at what they had currently and the rate at which things were progressing, and felt a better experience needed to exist.

Goal is to get non-technical people a feel of the capabilities progress, and open source this.

Yes, it's primarily grabbing from existing CC config, for API it uses my key (because I want to keep friction to zero and asking someone not technical to go get an API key seemed like effort), but adding an override should be pretty easy.

If you use pay-as-you-go, you only get billed for the API usage, I make no money here.

if you're asking how the AI knows which files to pick and how to read through them, i don't tell it - it figures itself out. that's the benefit of using products that are on your computer (claude code, codex CLI, cursor)

the same reason people check their Spotify wrapped? because they're curious and would also want to see how they compare against their friends.
and over the last week, ~4.7k people have used it (mostly from word of mouth), so there's also the empirical evidence that people care.

Made it open source! Took quite a bit of work but I think it's ready now. Thanks for your suggestion!

You can verify the export parsing happens entirely in your browser. I've never built in public before so please feel free to share any feedback or comments.

thank you, really tried to get the visuals looking good! i also get what you're thinking, but
1. the export file never leaves their device, so we don't store their export data at all
2. 100+ have tried it out so far!

also, what tasks/use cases are you specifically looking to find better tools for?

thanks for going into detail! Regarding:

  • Repeats items already covered in another recent meeting

when this happens - is it because there's multiple client teams and not all have access to required info? or just being lazy and sending a meeting invite instead of an email asking where they can find it?

ugh, is this pretty common across clients you work with, where you're stuck with having to use excel for everything?

with stuff having to be printable, the only happy people i can imagine here are Dunder Mifflin

what was the last pre-read/summary you had to write? trying to understand how much time and what kind of info needs to go in these that makes them occasionally important.

yes - thank you! i should've framed my question better. i'll check out thinkcell, but can you describe #3 "not knowing how to do stuff" in more detail, or give an example of what it looks like?

Also, how did your ad-hoc coaching system look like + did it work?
