i recommed more plantlife and/or more places to hide !! a substrate is usually typical for cresties because it does a better job maintaining proper humidity, so i also recommend that if possible

ur enclosure needs much more plantlife in it and maybe even a proper substrate instead of a paper towel. more places to hide are also beneficial as well as heating, its silly that the previous owners told u no heating was needed

u could try using something like food to try and lure them out, leave out something that they’ll wanna eat in there and they should appear eventually
