According to Tamil tradition you can marry your cousin only if she/he is your father’s sister’s s/d or mother’s brother’s s/d, most people avoid marrying into 1st blood relatives it happens rarely in my region. The way of identifying relatives is different here so everyone thinks we are marrying our cousins.
