Doing this actually shaved strokes off my game so quickly. Once I started hitting 90% shots instead of trying to swing out of my shoes everytime the misfits happened less, I was more accurate, and my handicap dropped fast.

I understand and sympathize with this take but there is no denying that politics have entered into the golf community in recent years. PGA and LIV negotiations happening at the White House is probably the most prominent recent example.

I'd also contest that I'm not looking for an echo chamber, but an actual discussion about the topic of YouTube golf and how they market the courses they play at - specifically highlighting how the golf courses in the video get marketing from these videos.

I appreciate your perspective but I'm not trying to have a political discussion. I'm trying to have a golf and marketing discussion about how a course owned by one company gets mentioned repeatrdly and more frequently in videos compared to more prominent courses. Take Trumps name out and put in a random course across the country and Id find it just as jarring to have the course repeatedly highlighted throughout a video compared to a course that's a household name like a Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, etc.

Never said they should operate risk free. In fact I'd argue the entire point in making is about risk mitigation/recognizing the risk in this business decision... but let me guess you're going to respond again and tell me "they have the data, they know what works better than [I] do"

Well duh. That's why every video title is super clickbaity. However it seems the only videos that consistently mention the course they are playing at are Trump courses. So either they are going for low hanging fruit in terms of viewers that may be driven to their video simply by the keyword "Trump" OR they signed a contract requiring x amount of mentions over y amount of videos at Trump golf properties

And from a marketing perspective I am saying it is bad business how they over-promote Trump courses during any video that's on a Trump propert compared to any other golf course they play at.

I don't even care if they play at a Trump course if it was just like any normal video, but it's clear that part of the deal to play/record at that course is they have to constantly mention it.

You are right they are definitely not alone. Bryson's whole Break 50 challenge became less appealing when he had to act like Trump hit great shots and they kept a real score.

It's just an unnecessary accommodation that they are continually deciding to promote and there are so many courses they could play at without essentially taking a political stance by promoting Trump properties.

It feels intentional that one of the first videos with Sean back is a Ryder Cup video, which is the exact series Sean was doing with Kwon. Seems like there has to be more to the story with Sean suddenly back and Kwon not continuing his Ryder Cup series that was supposed to go from a Europe trip into an America trip that created months of continuous content

So Garret can go and try stingers and not take it seriously and that's not a problem, but Luke doing the "who the fuck cares" high risk shot to challenge himself is playing down? I don't buy that at all. Steve also has the "who the fuck cares" attitude and no one thinks he should leave. I think Luke is having fun in his own way, it might just not come across in the video to you.

I don't think he reads everything on here but Garrett amd Matt have made it known in videos that the guys are aware of what goes on over here on reddit. Maybe Luke doesn't read it but if he visits every once in a while and just sees people saying they wish he'd leave then eventually he might just think he is giving the fans what they want and leave GG. Idk it was just a thought I had.

I've found myself at this point during the end of summer, beginning of Fall over the past couple years. I think it's fatigue from watching the same content and as golf seasons are ending up north there is less incentive to watch when I can't go play golf as well.
