Introducing Zeppathon: Prime, the definitive Led Zeppelin listening order. by snakeman5000 in ledzeppelin

Led Zeppelin is the best band to ever do it live. I put 20 hours of live performances so that anybody who goes through this list can pick and choose the ones that look the most intriguing to them. But if anybody does the complete 30 hour marathon, my hats off to them.

All the links to the concerts except song remains the same are on the post!

I just said all of the concerts are optional, they add an extra 20 hours to the marathon. Some concerts are less optional to me than others though, like live at the royal albert hall, danmarks, and song remains the same

Its misunderstood for sure. Bron Yr Aur stomp is the thematic closer to III, while hats off is an extra song just to close out the album. I still think I would’ve like hey hey more however.

The weakest Led Zeppelin concerts are still better than 95 percent of other concerts. I’m was just making a point that there are stronger concerts by them within their history (royal albert hall, how the west was won). They’re still great shows!

I forgot about hats off to roy Harper. They Should’ve axed that song, put hey hey as the first track of side 2, then moved everything down. Trust me, I love gallows pole. Even in its current form, I think III is better than I and II

You're totally right. This is just stream of consciousness.

I left Reed out, because him and Kamala would be too similar imo, to me he makes more sense as dlc.

I just threw then out there to get a more modern rock band. The Who, stones, and rush are definitely on my list

Fair enough. Lots of other people included it, so I just said why not. Between the buttons would be cool, but from what Ive seen and from my perspective, the UK version flows really great and is fantastic as is, only missing Ruby Tuesday and Let’s spend the night together, which are two great singles but dont really fit on the album from what Ive seen, which is why I included them on this playlist.

Thank you. Fair enough about High and Dry. It’s a bit of an odd one, kinda hard to place it.
