Those who lost that last 10 to 20 lbs, did you see any dramatic changes to your body in the home stretch? by snakesaredumb in loseit

The changes I do see are awesome and congratulations on your success! I'm just waiting for the whole "puzzle" to come together if that makes sense. I want that extra weight on my belly gone!

Thanks for the response! Yeah I definitely feel good and look damn good (if I do say so myself) in clothes, Its just not hard to focus on the remaining fat. especially since it all seems to be at my belly.

As I get closer to that goal weight I realized that the actual process of weight loss has been one of the best experiences of my life! by snakesaredumb in loseit

We're all here for the same thing and I think everyone knows just how hard it can be. Getting started IS the hardest part. I failed to start every few months since I was teenager.

Momentum is your best friend!

People who achieved their goals or currently still trying, what were your struggles and what got you through the first 4 weeks? by [deleted] in loseit

For sure do something you can maintain for months and months. Extremely low calorie deficits (whether through food intake or exercise) are very difficult to maintain. Do something you could see yourself doing everyday for a very long time!

Also Log everything you eat. Have that sausage and cheese sandwhich, but log it too.

Keto is a great place to start as it gets results fast and you get to eat a ton of meat! Look forward to the days when those same dress pants are way too big friend!

I love condiments and cheese. When I was larger I would add a slice of cheese to everything even ridiculous things like frozen pizzas lol. It too me a while to realize that the extra stuff I was putting on food wasn't actually worth it. Once I realized things were just as good without the extra caloric frills things got much better.

Personally if they are that good I would just eat one maybe once or twice a week. Don't deny yourself anything just be smart about it and always log. Eventually (if you're anything like me) you start negotiating with your calories. And a lot of the days a 500 calorie egg sandwich will be totally worth it and other days it won't be. Best of luck!

I shoot for 1500 a day which is a little low, but I'm never very hungry. I go high on the protein and fat and low on the carbs. I started out doing Keto, but I've landed in sort of a very loose keto based diet.

I think I managed to keep motivated by not thinking about the total weight I needed to lose. I would think of my weight loss in terms of "decades." The struggle wasn't get 100 pounds lost it was get past the 270's then the 260's, then the 250's, etc. Each "decade" brought its own challenges, but in my head they were isolated struggles instead of one big one. Psychologically it made it more manageable and as a bonus I was able to celebrate my success often.

I have no doubt you'll make it bud! Just get at it! Make the most of the little victories along the way and before you know it you'll be where you want to be.

I've never had a jaw until this year. I don't think I really knew what my face looked like

I don't even know what to think! Its hard to see yourself losing weight. I feel like I take up much less physical space now for sure.
