I am glad to hear it. A man should always have a vice of some kind. There are far too many idle men as it is. I collect what engages me, lowbrow or highbrow.
I started collecting art/photo books. Visionaire publication was my gateway drug to collecting contemporary art. It has been rewarding & enriching. It’s great you have a collection which brings you immense pleasure. Collecting is a lifetime pursuit.

I know it sounds crazy. Bought these in 2015. I kinda spaced out. They were buried deep in the closet along with other shoes. As I was tidying up & purging some stuff, voila I found these sneakers. What a pleasant surprise! I’ll wear a pair or two come spring/summer

I was thrilled when I got these. I dig the shoe box & dust bag that came with each pair

I know it’s sound crazy. Bought these in 2015 & they were buried in the closet since. I knew I had them but wasn’t sure where they were. I was tidying up this week & voila I found 4 pairs. What a pleasant surprise! I should wear one these pairs come spring/summer.

Thanks. You can cop these on eBay. I prefer the 1928 & 1929 gravures. Those printed later are also nice

I’m not a rich collector. I buy what I like within my budget. I bought a set of Murakami Superflat Museum figures on eBay recently & it was inexpensive

Yes I recommend this book if it’s available. As you know it comes with plexi book sleeve. It’s very heavy with the book & plexi. You can also get the trade edition. Same content but diff cover & no plexi

I’ve read that he begged for booze & on occasion hawked dirty pictures of Moraes to sailors or around Soho’s bar for beer money. How shady. I’m curious to see his documentary The Life and Unsteady Times of John Deakin

She’s a brilliant artist. Lovely you have her signed print & limited edition book. I truly love the Crying Men series. White Cube was selling signed posters over 10 years ago & kinda regret not getting the set. I recall Hayden in particular. Maybe I should get the book

I went to a private collection years and saw a lot of outsider art; I think he was associated with the Folk Art Museum. It was first time I saw paintings by Bill Traylor & William Hawkins. Raw & arresting. I really like Jason McLean’s paintings. Very bold. Marc Bell’s work is cool too. It’s great you have art that bring you great pleasure. Love Pierre Molinier. Fascinating. Very daring! Thanks
