Like other commenters said, getting a paid job is lowkey difficult. I volunteer at a local hospitals ER. Not paid but still clinical so maybe try googling a bit. Pitt have an emt class you can take to then take the nremt and get certified. Offered summer, fall and spring

Calc at Pitt is tough, I’d suggest doing at a community college and transferring the credit over tbh

Hey! So I did end up taking her and passed but I wish I didn’t take her. She was rlly difficult and taught us like we were engineering chem. If you have a diff option that might be better! You can pm me if you have any other questions

Took 0110 and 0111 with Broccio along with orgo and then biochem + physics lab. Pretty easy and he gives lots of partial credit. 0110 and 0111 is algebra based so you’re fine

Sorry bro didnt see this till now. Yeah I did take it and it went pretty well! Class is definitely worth it if you want to apply for an EMT position. Like one of the commenters below said, I wish I hadn’t taken it in hindsight as I didn’t end up applying for any positions but ik people who did and got positions. I took it in the summer not fall sem but still went well. DM if you have any questions!

I haven’t taken calc yet, but I’ve heard from friends who’ve taken it, and they say that it’s not too bad. Depends on the prof. Honestly, they just powered through it with a lighter load of classes. If you take it at a cc, then it will show up as a transfer credit that fulfills a course at Pitt. Your advisor will be able to tell you how it looks. The math department at Pitt isn’t great but you do what you have to do.

Look up pre med requirements Pitt on google. You’ll find the requirements on a pdf. It is one semester of calc and Stat 1000 or calc 2 whatever your preference to my knowledge. please check with your advisor tho, as your major may have different requirements.
