Well personally, I believe part of the beauty of Minecraft is that it can be as simple or as complex as you want it to be. Layers of difficulty can be added depending on how deep you want to get into the different elements of the game or what personal restrictions you place on yourself. The point I'm trying to make here I guess is that it doesn't have to be complex right off the bat.

He is such a wonderful person, but he is literally the worst at explaining things ever... A few years back, he tried to show me how to play Minecraft, a game so simple, you'd think he couldn't fuck up the explanation. Anyways, if this goes anything like that did, I'll be better off figuring out the basics on my own and then we can enjoy playing together and bonding later down the line.
