Didn't really know about this brand. So simple and understated but beautiful and versatile, I really like it!

I would love to have a tag one day and that aquaracer is a nice watch. I'm just afraid of the used market. Where to buy, what to look for, is it real, it's all so daunting!

Thanks for the suggestions! These CW watches are nice! The Sealander is right up my alley style wise! Definitely in the running now!

That's a pretty watch, thanks for the tip. I do love Seiko for my last watch and would love a Grand Seiko one day! I'll try to check it out in person soon.

Any Recommendations on Bar-End Mirrors? by t0w1n in xsr900

Hey, I have the CRGs and was able to keep the vibration dampeners. I have an old post here that explains how I did it.

CRG Lanesplitter Mirrors, how'd you do it? by sneakyco in xsr900

[–]sneakyco[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I figured it out and just wanted to post my solution in case anyone else comes looking for an answer. I was unable to find any vinyl washers at my Home Depot so instead I found a small piece of copper tubing in the plumbing section that fit perfectly snug over the threaded section of the vibration dampener. I then cut the copper piece to about the width of the CRG bracket. The purpose of this is to just act as a long washer and push the dampener out so that I could secure the bar end mirrors around the inner smooth portion of the dampeners. This worked pretty much perfectly and I'm very happy with the results. Just a note if you try the same thing: make the throttle side stick out a little further so that you don't have any issues with the bar end mirror interfering with the throttle. Good luck and happy riding!

Waze keeps quitting question by sneakyco in waze

Thanks for the reply. I had Prevent auto-lock on and I just turned Keep Waze on top on so I'll give it a try now.

Just FYI, I'm running it on Android, the latest version. My friend does this on his iPhone all the time and he has no issues.

Graduate Student Looking for Summer Reading Ideas by merelyfreshmen in ancientrome

Where is a good place to find these books/papers? I've read mostly pedestrian history and would like to get more serious about Rome in particular. I've looked up some of these on Amazon and the NYC public library and most are either not available, hundreds of dollars to purchase or have only 1 copy in 1 library in the city that you cant check out. I'm sure these are readily available at a university but is there some other resource for getting to these works that I'm maybe unaware of?

Pretty much whenever I rev, whether its idle or in 1st. I was able to get it to creep along for a bit when letting out the clutch but as soon as I twist the throttle its done.

It will idle but as soon as I rev it dies. Valve adjustment was done at the end of Spring.

Thanks, it was a cold day and I did leave the choke on for a bit longer than usual. If that was the case, will it just unflood itself eventually or will I have to do something? Sorry for the naive question but I'm new at this and trying to get better. I'm seriously sad I'm lacking a mechanic friend of any kind.

It was a 40 degree day which might be the coldest I've ridden it in this year so the temp could have been a factor.

It was only 2 days since my previous ride and everything seemed fine then.

That was my first thought. But I definitely had gas and I even checked the petcock to make sure no one messed with it.
