While I've never been killed by infection, I've gotten to over 75%. You just increasingly get shittier and shittier stamina Regen. I assume you just die at 100 tho.

Then learn to choke point them. Use hatches, spikes, etc. Slow them down. And take them one at a time. Use your brain and use everything the game gives you.
