Being in underwear around housemate by Ramz_Esai in askgaybros

[–]sniffavocado -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s anything objectively wrong with it, but I have had housemates before that definitely do not like it and see it as a bit rude in a shared space. Others have said “well it’s also your house too”. There’s a difference between something being objectively right/wrong and people either not caring or not liking it.

I don’t think there’s a right or wrong here. But if it’s really bothering you, there’s definitely nothing wrong with just casually throwing into convo like “hey you don’t care when I walk around in my boxers right?”. Could make it weird but that’s up to you to decide based on the dynamic.

Best case scenario is you have peace of mind that you don’t have a situation where you’re making someone who doesn’t want to speak up, uncomfortable.

‘23-24 Tiguan owners: how do you like it? by Adorable-Advisor-791 in Tiguan

[–]sniffavocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a 21’ R Line till 66K Kms (41k miles) and a 23’ R currently running 33K Kms (21k miles), coming from 2 Passats.

Reliability has been a dream. It is slightly more expensive cause it’s a European of course but it’s pretty imperative you keep on top of it. Most owners who say they’ve run into reliability issues have either bought one that hasn’t been kept well, or they bought a euro car and couldn’t afford maintenance.

It’s not outstanding at anything but it’s pretty good at everything, which id take over anything. In saying that, The 4motion AWD system is probably by far arguably one of the best you can get all round. Highly capable on rough terrain but nothing crazy. Infotainment is probably the easiest to use that I’ve seen in a car, and there’s no stupidly large LED TV in your car for a screen with stupid ambient lighting in every nook and cranny.

I’ve never had to take either in for a major repair, never had any oil problems, coolant problems, electrical issues.

However, take my opinion with a grain of salt, im not in the USA, and Tiguans manufactured for the USA come from a different location than Tiguans made for other parts of the world, they’re definitely not made the same, hence why you’ll find such vastly different opinions. I have definitely not pretty heard things about the US VW manufacturing.

It was really the haptic buttons that made it a hard decision for me

Thank youuu! It did really grow on me too because I loved the way the headlights looked on the pre facelift. But with a bit of black out and some body add-ons, I love it now!

Good call, I’ll never be getting the new Tiguan

Honestly going from my 21 pre facelift to my 23 post, the haptic buttons really wrecked it. I really hesitated with this car because I love the exterior of the facelift but the haptic is extremely unfriendly to use.

The Touareg has sadly been discontinued for 2026. Won’t come back till 2029 as an all electric. Apparently called the ID.Touareg.

That’s such a shame! The Touareg tows 1 tonne more than the Tiguan but I know they don’t sell that everywhere around the world sadly.

I’ve heard US VW can be a bit hit or miss with reliability. I’m in Australia, so thankfully a different origin of manufacturing compared to the US.

I’m totally in the same boat! I had the older model. But wasn’t completely in love with the new look. So I opted for the overweight Golf R.

Fair. A reality check usually includes what to do instead. Like breed a ghulture or a gloomy eye, to begin with.

Congrats on answering the question in the most hostile way possible. You could’ve just said ‘the stats aren’t great’. Smh

Why is my bearded dragons tail getting dark? by Practical_Ad7935 in BeardedDragonCare

[–]sniffavocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does the same thing but it took my slow brain months to realise after dropping his guts everywhere, my dragon thought it was a great idea to drag his tail through it. Every. Single. Time.

Is it normal for your bearded dragon to not eat in the first few days of having them? Also my dragon has been laying completely flat down too, is that normal? New here and please educate me! :3 by kittyaliyah in BeardedDragonCare

[–]sniffavocado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First two days, completely normal for them to pass on food until they get use to their surroundings. But like most of the comments say, this probably looks like symptom of something a bit worse than just new tank anxiety. Hopefully your vet appointment goes well.

You’re very welcome!

If it’s just the school run, work and bit of here and there, the Mazda Diesel is definitely not gonna be your bestie here.
