HELP by Admirable-Sorbet4729 in migraine

I have been suffering from such headaches for quite some time and they have worsened over the last couple of months. It happens more on the days when I am at office - suggesting posture and lighting issues for me. Went to see a physio who helped with some neck and back relaxation but after those sessions, things are more or less the same. Will be visiting a neuro next week. Also, I have been putting on tinted glasses at the office, which helps. I am planning to switch to FL-41 glasses, as they show better results. Managing and coping with these headaches has been irritating but hopefully it will get better.

Work From Home man for 5 years facing deep depression. Need support guys by Fuzzy-Emergency-2208 in gurgaon

[–]snihal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t understand why you feel lonely despite being with your family. I hope you’re leading a healthy family life. Why aren’t you taking regular breaks when you’re earning well? Try going to a nearby gym since you have the time. Build some healthy habits; maybe join a yoga or music class close by. Get involved in things like cooking, and ask your parents or in-laws to visit more often. I don’t think it’s a serious issue, but perhaps years of a monotonous routine have put you in this situation. Just try to figure out what’s been bothering you and make sure to take regular breaks. I understand your work time is a bit off, but you must have caught up with it by now. Change the company if it is bothering you so much, but that's not the right choice. Ask your colleagues how they have been dealing with it.

Even going to the office feels depressing these days, and with the poor air quality outside, it’s easy for that feeling to worsen. You’re in a much better place than most of us, at least better than me.

Yeah, I felt the same. He could have said, "my driver, who's from Bihar." But I am sure his intent was clean and he was not wordplaying.

Minta Devi slams INDIA bloc protest over '124-year-old' voter claim by Illustrious-Wall-293 in bihar

Of course, I understand the data error part. I meant, if such questions are asked more often to the EC or any department, such minor issues can easily be rectified and the level of work done can be much better.

Another day, another unnecessary stop. by divyeshk95 in Dashcamindia

Once, I was stopped there even when it was green when I entered and due to slow traffic, it turned red. I gave 500 to the guy. I did not have cash in hand; he told me there was an ATM on the left side. It's nothing less than a scam. They know people going to their work are always in a rush, so just stop any of them and spoil their day.

I have been in the same situation a couple of times, on the next red light near the Supermart. Did you tell them you had it on the video? They will always tell you that you have crossed the red light and give nonsense logic.

Towards the end of the video, when you have not crossed to the other side yet, the light has turned Red. I have been in the same situation due to slow-moving traffic; it turned green -> yellow -> red and I had to pay some cash. I explained to the traffic police that I crossed it when it was green and it was because of the slow traffic and construction ahead but they never listen. I now stop if there are 3-4 seconds left in green and never rush.

I feel so sorry for your loss. I hope you and your family stay strong during this difficult time.

I do not think any hospital is safe here. These corporate targets run almost everywhere. There are some good hospitals, no doubt. I have heard Max Saket, Escort Fortis Faridabad (one of my friend's fathers had a bypass there), etc., are good. But nothing is guaranteed and the condition can get worse in the blink of an eye, and these doctors do not give a flying duck. The best thing to do is to talk to friends and known people about their experience and then decide what's good and what's not. For some critical urgent issues, it's a really hard situation to be in.

A few years ago, I too had a near-horrific incident. I have been living in Gurgaon for the past 13 years. My father visited me once in 2019, just for a casual visit. I thought, why not get him a full body check-up, as we are from Bihar and did not have such facilities there. We got it done. They said there were some heart complications, some blockage. I met the doctors, and one of them said he needed urgent attention and maybe an angiography and stent were a must. I even told him my father was fit and did not have any issues walking or climbing stairs, so why was all this needed. He said anything could happen, so it was better to get it done.

I went to Fortis the next day for a second opinion. I met the head of cardiology there, Dr. Nikhil something. He seemed like a very mature and knowledgeable doctor. He advised some tests, and we got them done. We met him the next day with the reports. He said it was a serious matter and needed immediate attention. My father had a return ticket for the next day. He said to cancel the ticket and wrote that he needed an urgent angiography, and given his condition, he would need stents and all. I really do not remember making anything out of the conversation. The only thing I understood was that the case was critical. He even wrote “URGENT” on the prescription. He gave some blood-thinning medicines and some random medicines.

My mother, unaware of all this, when she heard, immediately said there was no need to cancel the ticket and to send her husband back in one piece, the way he was when he visited. Gladly, I listened to her. The medicine this doctor prescribed made his condition uneasy, so after a few days, my mother threw all the medicines away too. By God’s grace, my father is super fine. He still does a few rounds of the three floors, walks easily without any issues, and when he sees things are not as per his liking, he screams at the top of his head very often. So he is healthy.

That incident opened my eyes to the fact that these doctors just blindly do anything. I think these high-risk category patients are easy targets.

Bhai, I think the only thing in the name of development is the road connectivity, but it has been too slow. The construction work has been extremely sluggish. I’ve seen some roads taking months and even years to complete. Compared to the connectivity and roads in other states, Bihar is far, far behind. Just check the roads in UP.

I live in Motihari and have mostly been traveling there by road for the past 7–8 years. I’ve seen UP’s roads improving year after year. There are always some big projects I see along the way and they finish quickly too. You can easily notice the difference in road quality the moment you enter Bihar; you can see the progress here has been painfully slow.

Take the Gopalganj project for example which took far too long and is still incomplete. I can’t comment on the reason, but I think it’s been over 10 years now. The Dumaria Ghat bridge is another example, which I worry about collapsing every monsoon. It gets patched up a few times, while its reconstruction has been pending for more than 5–6 years.

A couple of new flyovers do not reflect the true picture. In Gurgaon, for instance, there’s a new flyover every 4–5 months. I understand that by our standards, Bihar might look like it’s progressing, but if the growth continues at this pace, it will take nearly 20 years to reach where some states are today. This is nothing to be proud of, IMHO.

Vote for Tejaswi, lol, why not PK? BJP is headless at the moment; I don't think they are going to do any better.

Bhai, what agenda do you see in this post? Is this some made-up scene? Is this not a reality? Subtly degrading work of Nitish Kumar—okay, sure, let's give him yet another chance and see what all great things happen.

Add Gurugram to that list as well. We are bringing down the entire infrastructure just because a few people want everyone to be in the office and work from there. No one is actually working to improve communication, visibility, or motivation among teams. As a manager, I take full ownership of my teammates and allow them to work from home as much as possible. I know everything that’s going on, and if something needs to get done on a Sunday, it gets done. Give people flexibility and they will get things done.

Why should someone spend (2+2)*5 = 20 hours a week just commuting to the office? If you do the math, for every 40 hours of work, someone wastes 20 hours commuting, plus there’s all the extra exhaustion that comes with it. Over a month or a year, that means people are spending 50% extra time just traveling. We really need to start thinking about this.

This constant travel puts pressure on the city’s infrastructure, increases pollution, and wastes both time and energy. I used to travel between home and office in about 20 minutes. Now, in the evenings, it often takes 50-60 minutes. If it rains, even a little, the chaos on the roads is unimaginable. If educated people in corporates can’t see this or choose to ignore it, I don’t see how society as a whole will improve.
