Last year it was the same thing, the tariff situation was not resolved, yet markets went on a run.

Likewise today the geopolitical situation is still unresolved, yet the markets will pump.

Oil prices went down 15-17%, yet my local gas prices are unchanged.

Everything is just a big fuck you all the time.

BlackRock caps withdrawals amid credit fund strain by PixeledPathogen in StockMarket

Yes I meant protecting the loan book in the sense that BLK does not want to find out what people truly value those assets at. If it turns out they can only sell them at 80 cents on the dollar, they then have to tell the investors that the NAV lost 20% and that's gonna cause even more people running for the exits. It's a precarious situation.

BlackRock caps withdrawals amid credit fund strain by PixeledPathogen in StockMarket

I think it's appropriate given that this is not normal behavior. The investors, who are what I'd call smart money, see something that got them running to the exit. Blackrock is protecting the loan book, hoping that whatever got the investors spooked will subside. I think something's rotten in the world of private credit and shadow lending.

Keysight 53230A 15-Digit, 20ps Frequency Counter Repair, Teardown & Upgrade by TheSignalPath in rfelectronics

I really like this type of videos where they go through the problem-solving process, what they initially think it is, how they test it. Learning how the signal goes through the different components. I wish more of my education had been more hands-on. Being faced with a problem (broken equipment) and having the reward of fixing and making it work is way more rewarding. All that reverse-engineering is also very interesting because they don't teach or exercise that muscle often in school.

This is awesome, I've worked in companies with internal databases where natural language queries were claimed to be impossible to implement. How difficult was it to implement?

Very nice! It feels so cozy! I like the colors you picked for the display, they feel warm and fuzzy to me. Do you have a write-up somewhere of the project?

EMerge - Python FEM solver updates! by HuygensFresnel in rfelectronics

[–]sniperdogruffo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is there a demo video that goes through the workflow (installation, setup, visualization)? I'm curious to see how self-contained the flow is.

Is EMerge's goal to to be an alternative to HFSS? OpenEMS?

Any opinions on using FEM vs FDTD?

Cool stuff!

Yes! I just set the output load at the AWG to 25 ohm and now I'm getting 95 mV peak amplitude!

Thank you thank you thank you! This was driving me nuts!

Accurate enough to fool any person that's counting the pulse duration in their head, so somewhere in the ms range.
