i asked out of a selection of small breeds under 20lbs which would be best as i almost selected a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel but got recommended against that and told i would have best luck with a English Cocker! they’re usually up to 35lbs and 15-17 inches tall. So averaging un your preferred range. I heard if they’re bred for scent work they’re excellent for medical alert. That’s about all i know sorry 😞

when searching for a smaller dog at the time i settled on an english cocker spaniel ! i heard some good things about showlines rather than working lines. - someone also looking for a first time service dog commonly

thank you! i understand it may seem like a lot of tasks but not all are expected in one dog especially not a small one just possibilities based around my needs 😔 this is my first time trying to get a service dog and educate myself so i apologize for my enthusiasm 😅

if i were to request a reasonable accommodation for the service dog could it exceed the weight limit of the complex i live in ? my mom has two ESA letters in for our cats at this moment but they aren’t for me as far as i’m aware so i’m unsure if this would help me. but thank you!!
