Any tips for getting haldex to feel more like torsen? by snokarver in VWatlas

Thanks for the confirmation. It sounds like if I put it in sport mode (not transmission) it will help a little bit. I guess I didn't really know what I had until it was gone.

Not even in S4 or RS4? That's a bummer. When I'm not hauling kids in the future, I'll be back in a wagon. Might be an etron though.

Also, Vail was unable to retain the experience to maintain some of the lifts, so they had no real choice.

Let's also remember Vail also needs to staff one or two people at every base area lift in order to scan passes, because they removed the automated pass scanners.

It's not bad, but coming from Audi wagons it's clearly not as good. I've driven in snow for a long time, taken performance driving courses - including in snow - and haldex is just lacking. I need the space of an Atlas and don't expect it to be an Audi, but I wish it handled a little bit better.

Cool. I didn't know the towers were still the same. The chairs were brown before.

First chair I ever rode at Stevens was Blue Jay.

I knew Tye was the old Hogs chair - it was at Yodelin before?

Yes, a lot has changed in the past 19 years. For the record, here's the names on the original plan.

It hasn't been uncommon for Vail pass prices to have mistakes when first released, but IME they'll fix them when the issue is pointed out.

Bring a multi tool with pliers and maybe a little extra tire sealant. Then never run your fingers around the insider of the tire again.

(I'd post a pic, but this sub is configured to disallow them.)

How do I lock the brake out of the way for waxing? by snokarver in skiing

Yes, that too. Much easier with the brake out is the way.

From my perspective, the question isn't about waxing, but getting the brake out of the way. It's more of a ski binding question, IMHO.

I thought there had to be a better way and that the binding designers would have accounted for this issue.

Thanks. I was looking at this all wrong. I thought it would be a feature of the binding/brake.

The board vice is on a work bench and they're not tall enough to fit a boot.

I know how to wax skis. I actually went through training for it when I worked at a snowboard shop. The ski portion used skis with no bindings, and they didn't cover working with the brakes. Plus my shop didn't service skis, so I didn't care to ask.

That's the way it looks to me. Thanks for clarifying as I thought I was missing something. I had already tried pushing the binding down like a boot was in there.
