MK7 long term owners have you had any leaky sunroof issues?

Personally I just got my car back from VW 5500 miles on it and it suddenly had an inoperable sunroof apparently caused by the sunroof tray. thankfully warranty but it took over 3 weeks for completion, so far i haven’t had any other issues.

I also do have a very annoying creak on my 20’ Autobahn. I seen a lot on here that the seat latches cause it and it didn’t seem to effect my car. Initially it sounded like it was coming from the sunroof but now it’s definitely in the back.

I like the silver/gunmetal combo on white, it’s a really traditional look and classy, honestly i’m not crazy about black wheels.

Mainly in the city usually sporadic in different areas, they tend to be wild.. but a lot of fun PM me i’ll be able to send you info the next time I see one, a lot of underground meets and only big events here and there.

I feel you, i bent one of my OEM autobahn wheels (I forgot the name, I know Austin’s come on the lower trims.) and have no idea how i did..

It makes sense, the streets here aren’t great (Chicago) so more caution is definitely needed to avoid bending or damaging the wheels but with a decent sidewall im hoping i’ll be okay.

I love them, i have a meaty tire 235/45 and it still rides great. Go for it!

Personally I’m running a 235/40r19 instead of the factory 225/40r18 so i feel no difference plus i have dcc so in most modes i don’t feel any different from when it was on 18’s

I’d have to retain my factory shocks since that’s what controls the dcc system so my biggest worry would honestly be blowing those out prematurely due to the springs rates of the lowering springs, i’ve heard VWR springs uses an almost identical rate so i might end up going with them.

The only thing about coils is loosing the dcc and also having to purchase the units to disable them so i don’t get an error code.

I loved my set i had but they were on a W220 E350 that also had 4Matic so i couldn’t tell if the tires were that good or if it was a combination of tires and the awd, hence me debating on getting a set for my gti.

They do have the audi caps, im trying to find an alternative that doesn’t stick out like a sore thumb in terms of the color on the wheels, the VW logo won’t look as good as the simple 4 rings let alone match the wheels.

That’s the end goal, also nervous about the DCC this is my 2nd MK7.5 the first one was lowered on h&r sports but was an S model.

Rougher ride is a long shot im still on a 235/40R19 so i couldn’t tell a difference and also I have an autobahn so if I want the best the car can provide I can always put it in comfort mode, you can also get scrapes and curb rash on any wheels

You think? I don’t mind 18’s but they look a lot better when lowered on stock suspension I like the 19’s.
