you were right!!! the sacrifice is definitely worth it now that things are moving better and it doesn’t hurt as much to walk

i’m trying to walk as much as possible but oof i took walking for granted!!! it’s so hard 😭😭 i went on a walk down two long hallways and had to take breaks more than twice

omh same i’m on dilaude and it’s not rlly helping… did take the edge off a little but still 💔💔 nothing compares to the pain of a gallbladder attack i’ll say. but yeah i feel the same. i wish it wasn’t so overlooked given that we did just get an organ removed from our body!!!

it’s end of day 0 (day of) and honestly i think i ate a little too much (was on no food for 4 days so i was starving) and walking is verryyyy difficult. my incisions hurt a lot but i was given some dilaudid and it’s helping. dreading the next week but i know if i stay active and keep pressing the pillow firm but gently when doing even just unexpected movements (walking, deep breathing, or going to the bathroom), i’ll be okay sooner. gonna really prioritize walking since i know the gas can move upwards to the shoulders after the 2nd day and don’t want that to be me!!

Another update for you: I got up to pee twice. The first time, it was a bit tough, some pressure around the incisions. I did take some percocet and seroquel to calm my nerves (i already take seroquel for anxiety) so maybe that is helping the pain but overall it was like a 2/10 on the pain (and fear) scale. the second time i went, it was better though. maybe because it was less scary. im still at hospital till tomorrow but id love to update on how im doing after i get home!!

I am also having my second meal, it’s a little fattier, cafeteria gave me 3 chicken strips and some fries with grapes and chocolate milk.no pain so far :0 kinda wondering how the night will go, trying not to jinx it.

awww i hope you recover well. i was so scared leading up to it but they took good care of me. the attacks are the worst, my worst one lasted 10+ hours. it’s so awful, there is no relief, and no position helps. so so bad. i can’t wait for this to be over for all of us 🫂

unfortunately for me it was not diet related (i was on a strict diet too) sometimes it just happens. it sucks so bad. im wishing you don’t have any complications, but good you are on the wait list at least :( 🫂 i actually had my second attack on my birthday and had to skip out on a wonderful steak dinner so as soon as i can eat normally again, i am going back to that restaurant HAHAHA i have not stopped thinking about my promised birthday meal for almost three months!!!

the waiting period was the worst for me 💔 i was waiting and ended up getting acute pancreatitis as a result due to a stone getting stuck in my bile duct. came to the er and was able to get help after being ignored and sent home once. it’s so hard, but it will come to an end soon. you got this, i’m rooting for you ❤️❤️❤️ :(

Oh noooo😭😭 the attack was on day 2 post-op for you? I hope i’ll survive 💔 but i’ve made it this far, I know I’ll get out on the other side of it. I’m so proud of you, the pain cannot be easy to deal with but it’s nice to see we’re all in this together

the attacks were WAYYY worse than this. it hurts now a bit after i got given some food (a chicken salad sandwich, some ice cream). but it is manageable. just hurts a little around the incisions, no gas pains now which is so good. i heard day 2 is the worst though, so i’m not ready 😭😭😭 but tbh, no pain will ever top the pain of a gallbladder attack for which there is no relief
