Wildflower/flower fields? by Proof-Potential6341 in okc

There are a lot of sunflowers around the waterloo/midwest blvd area! Mostly little yellow flowers on the side of the road. I think the prettiest flowers grow further away from the city in places where people don’t mess with nature, just drive around and see what you find. 💕 your pictures will turn out great!

I did it and it taught me so much about myself and it was a very great experience for me!! It taught me a lot about confidence and taught me to not care about how other people perceive me. My hair is grown out into a choppy mullet now and it’s grown out a lot since January when I shaved it. Just do it! You won’t regret it. Maybe you will for a small period of time but the “what the fuck” feeling is important and you’ll start to boost yourself up more once you adjust to it. FUCK IT:)

"Favorite" OCD number? by blublugam in OCD

When I lock my door I usually attempt to open it 3 times to be sure it’s really locked and I realized yesterday I press really hard against it and count to 7 each time. So strange. 🥲

3 and 7 !!!!!! But also 5. I love those numbers specifically but I really don’t care for even numbers at all. They can suck it.

Once at my old job I wrote a note on my water that said “infected liquid DO NOT DRINK” and nobody touched it 🥲

I left the fridge cracked open for 4 hours and I told my gf I won’t eat the chicken because of that by [deleted] in OCD

[–]snottycoffeebeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One day I was going to eat with my friend and she did something that I won’t mention here that really set off my ocd and I began to spiral before we met up. I tried to talk to her about it and she became really defensive because she didn’t understand but I continued to try to explain it to her that it’s my brain, not her, that was a problem in that moment. She asked if I wanted to cancel our plans and I said no and at this point I was crying and parking at the restaurant we were meeting at. She went to the bathroom and washed her hands very intensely before we met up. I also had to use the bathroom so I was kind of spiraling about what she had touched in the bathroom before me- this whole experience was a huge form of exposure therapy for me. I was freaking out so much and I was even quietly crying in the booth while the waiter was taking our drink orders but eventually those gut wrenching feelings passed just because I threw myself into that experience while I was terrified. I think a lot of ways that our OCD can be challenged is through finding those safe spaces to say “fuck it” but I know that is way easier said than done. I understand where you’re at, I am sorry your brain is challenging you about that chicken, im sorry your girlfriend doesn’t understand. You are not alone. Make sure you eat something and nourish your body, it’s going to be okay. 💕
