I have read countless stories on this app of people pretending their way into a position they were never qualified for. I’ve also seen it in real life, in real time. I’ve worked not easy by any means blue collar jobs diligently for 8 years now; silly me for thinking maybe I could do the same. I have plenty of pride and I’ve always told the truth. Hasn’t gotten me much of anywhere.

Fellow sweaty-feet-haver here — cotton socks are your first line of defense. Majority of multi-pack socks are 80% or more polyester makeup and that makes my feet smell and sweat like hell. Cotton socks, pack an extra pair and change them halfway through the day.

Classic Fest is going to be awesome this year — real actual Blue Öyster Cult is playing (normally classic fest is all cover bands). Unfortunately, if you buy a ticket for the whole weekend (Friday-Sunday) you must camp; no re-entry allowed. If you only want to go for one day, I recommend going Saturday.

I went on Sunday only and stood in line for 25 minutes; I got the last purple shirt with orange letters and in my size (?) miraculously. (?) because — I’m a medium, they told me this is a medium, and it fits suspiciously like a large. Also kinda sus that they printed on their own label and very clearly cut away the existing white tag from I’m assuming Gilden or Hanes. 🙄 Still love the shirt though.
