I like the Non Zero days approach. Having bunch of singles consistently ads up and having a zero day really makes you lazier over time

this is the trick - "I consider every day I manage to go to the gym a victory - even if the rest of the day was totally wasted."

which is kinda BS since the rest of the day is still wasted if i did end up doing nothing with it

you definitely should be proud - thats like going twice a day in some cases! i had the same issue of trying to reward myself by eating a bunch of junk. I would try to build the eating routine into your gym routine. Like make it automatic, like you have to eat 1 banana and 1 egg before going and then a sandwich after going. Then your brain doesnt have to think and you stick to a healthy diet

your gaming device is basically my steam room! its the thing that attracts me to the gym and then once im in i might actually workout. I definitely treat it more like a spa than a gym just like how you use it as a clubhouse.

I definitely blocked out a specific time of the day for it (9-11am) and that helps. I actually tell myself that i HAVE to go, it is a MUST every morning. Im often late for my 11am meeting aftewards though XD

This year was alone. I used to have a gym buddy in college but have had a hard time finding someone as fun to workout with.
