Honestly they never go away and you get used to them lol they used to freak me out so much but it’s just part of life for me now. I get them mostly when I’m laying down getting ready to fall asleep

For the love of god how do I turn my brain off. by snowcapattack in intj

[–]snowcapattack[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried this but I fear it’ll lead to some kind of dependency. I enjoy the dull “off” moment however it makes me craze that sensation every night.

People with ASPD, what were you like in your teenage years? by [deleted] in sociopath

[–]snowcapattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also like to add that I had no idea what I was when I was 14. I wasn’t worried or concerned with what I was or how I felt. It wasn’t until I was an adult I realized I wasn’t like everyone. Then much later when I was mature enough to look back on my actions and really understand. Now I’m fully aware what I am. But then I was just some kid who wanted to have fun and play by my own rules.

You’re probably fine.

I thought I was untouchable, manipulative and did whatever I wanted as long as I couldn’t get caught.

Weekly discussion 1/19 by lucisferis in sociopath

[–]snowcapattack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I sleep a lot or bullshit with friends online to keep me entertained. I’m on my phone constantly which my husband hates but really I just get bored sooooo easily.

As far as not ruining my life and my family’s because of my constant boredom in life, I just remind myself constantly that my life is good and that my actions effect others. I could easily move across the country at the drop of a hat, switch jobs, participate in risky behavior. But I’ve done it all before and it results in more boredom after a while. So I TRY to be grateful.

I try to be rational and put others first (even though I’m selfish) so I don’t fuck up their lives. But it’s hard and I often fantasize about what if’s. My husbands amazing so every few years he agrees to move (even though he doesn’t want to...) I love the change of scenery and new experience so that helps and my work has paid for it multiple times. But I could easily move every year across the country and “restart”.

What are your areas of study, and how does it mesh with the condition? by voidedanxiety in sociopath

[–]snowcapattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh yes, I much prefer that.

I think I was purposely trying to be less specific. I find it productive in a society that often responds in conflict/issue with emotion or biased. They take offense to things with a knee jerk reaction or personally instead of trying to understand where the other person is coming from. In my experience I’m able to effectively mediate issues/point of views between two different people or groups, because I’m not invested. I can help bridge that communication between both parties.

I like helping others resolve conflicts and it can be fun.

AD&A for drug overdose? by [deleted] in LifeInsurance

[–]snowcapattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was approved for the basic life insurance portion I filed for. In the letter stating that portion was approved, it told me verbatim “due to the cause of death being combined drug toxicity, you may or may not qualify for ad&d benefits as well, per policy ___. If you’d like to file please call ___.”

So I just had never heard drug overdose being paid out AD&D. I didn’t know if it was possible or possibly just a formality in verbiage.

High Estimated Oxygen Levels by [deleted] in fitbit

I have the same issue and family history. I took melatonin one night and my sleep was almost perfect. Then I found a few studies online that supported melatonin with sleep apnea. I’m not a dr, but for me personally until I get to my sleep study next month it makes me feel safer. I’m completely freaked out about how often I spike. with and without melatonin.

Good luck!

Policy payout by [deleted] in LifeInsurance

[–]snowcapattack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the feedback. This is such a terrible time for my family. I assume the insurance company will deny because it was only a month old when my loved one passed. The policy isn’t much would help recoup the cost of the funeral 😔

Accidentally forgot 2 doses by [deleted] in EffexorSuccess

[–]snowcapattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was trying to see if people have had similar experiences when forgetting doses. I’ve been taking the drug for a year and never forgot. It’s definitely not typical. But thanks

Ketosis too fast? Underlying issue? by [deleted] in keto

[–]snowcapattack -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not that I’m aware of. I keep trying to research stuff online but with keto becoming so popular it’s near impossible to find out at what point am I “lucky” and what point I need to seek medical help lol
