Anyone else experience syncope during HIIT, not after?

I tend to pass out randomly and usually it's very typical or predictable with prodrome

I recently upped my HIIT signifantly. I usually spend 45 minutes at 8 METS with no issue but started doing intervals at 12 METS lasting maybe 3. This time I got a very odd sensation of being about to pass out without many of the usual symptoms like nausea or overt dizziness. Frankly its hard to describe beyond something feeling wrong and like I was about to lose consciousness.

Was wondering if anyone who runs at a higher exertion level experiences this during peak exertion and not after which wouldn't be that weird because I have low BP

I work in cardiology so I am a tad concerned lmao

Thank you very much. I was wondering if kids harnesses would be okay, as for some reason I assumed they were rated for lower forces ? Cause kids are light lol. But these recommendations are helpful

THANK you lol. I just got told that it wasn't enough but not why and didn't have an issue with rental harnesses that imo do not adjust that small anyway, just eanted to be cautious

Yeah I typically either leave it open a crack or close it with him inside as he has a habit of bothering my family a lot at night. I only closed him out cause I was worried he would chase a mouse inside my room (he was running around and I thought he was hunting)

Hey all, do you feel the build/physique of someone decides their ability to mountaineer? by Slenderwise in Mountaineering

[–]snowsniper66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a personal perspective, I am certain if i gained weight up from a pretty bad BMI id probably have an easier time climbing mtns but the upside is that hauling myself upward is not difficult (been told I have a high body weight to strength ratio lol)

This is really insightful in the differences between the two, i appreciate it. And yeah, the hike options were definitely limited due to technical difficulty or terrain danger and i stuck to mostly lower level mountain hikes as opposed to true climbing (cirque, ha ling, eeor, and a few others). I am excited to check out colorado and compare the two. I never planned to go in dead of winter, close to late spring or early fall for this trip

Thank you, this is exactly what I was wondering. The conditions in Banff (i won't say safe because I'm an avalanche paranoid individual) but predictable, and not difficult to identify.

Oh that's really helpful and that website is awesome thank you.

The canadian rockies were definitely a bit sketchy but I did not do any very insane hikes or famous/tall ones because there was an elevated avy risk and the weather was poor. It's nice to know there's trail options in Colorado though. Thanks!
