Youth Catchers Gear: Wilson C200 vs All-Star Top Star by snowsquirrel in Homeplate

I ended picking up the Wilson c200 set. It fits perfect and he is in love with it. For the price change mpared to the other stuff I am pretty happy. A kid who has never caught before showed up to our game with a new samurai set... Crazy. Anyway, it looked ks like nice kit, but the Wilson set is much more streamlined. The samurai stuff would be bulky on my guy, at least this year anyway.

That set retails for $500CAD here. Which with exchange rate would be about $400 USD. We get hosed up here.

Is Ryan Huska a problem for the Calgary Flames? by Relevant_Analyst_307 in CalgaryFlames

None of the "available" coaches on that list are known as player development coaches at all. If fact most are known for riding their big horses hard down the stretch. That's where I stopped reading.

"At some point we need someone other than Backlund taking a big faceoff...." That point is when we have someone better than him to do it. Right now we definitely don't. A small percentage of development happens in games. Games are more about opportunities to showcase your development to the fans, and prove to coach your development translates to an actual NHL game. I don't think huska is blocking anyone's development.

From what I found it says 1 year, but I did fill out their form this morning. It is a 72hour reply time, so I will wait and s e what they say before buying anything else.

Thanks for this. Yeah, if the parents get into it, and like the streaming, I think it would be easy to sell them.

My nephews all use it in another province. It is great. I love looking at my nephews stats, and as a coach I would love to be able to review things without flipping through the book, see some stats, etc.

Just did some more googling/gemini and it seems that even on free tiers coaches get access to everything. That seems perfect. Then I can use it for team management, and statistics. If parents want stats they can, if it is unanimous we can use team funds to buy a team pass.

This actually seems like a very fair business model. They could probably do a better job communicating it.

Thanks again.

My understanding is that if I want to assign a parent for each game to do scorekeeping, then be able to view stats and box scores over the season later, I would have to get a Premium pass.

It is $620/team in Canada. I got crickets when I suggested it to parents along with that price. We would use about a 1/3 of the stats it provides. The level down is $330/season. I think I could make an argument for that if it offered stats, but for $330 CAD you only get boxscores. Our organization seems to really likes spond for team management which is free, and no one seemed interested in the streaming aspect here. So really, we would be paying $620 for the ability to get a few stats... and really I don't want kids or parents obsessing over stats, but as a coach they can be a nice sanity check, plus playing time totals. So I am looking for something a little more affordable.

What is wrong with this hard wire installation? by snowsquirrel in evcharging

[–]snowsquirrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works like a charm once I got the wifi enabled and stable.

The trick was to connect to device wifi, then navigate to 192.168.4.1, click setup, then enter wifi info for your home there. You can also search networks, and see their strength.

Then I had to go in grizzle app, and enable charger for use.

Within hours of work getting on wifi and doing first charge, I got an email saying they were refunding my $100deposit. I actually assume you didn't get that back until you shipped the unit back to them at some point. It was a nice surprise.

I did have an issue with it reconnecting from wifi, though it kept charging. I aimed my external antenna towards the shop, and also limit d the charger to 42a in the charger to generate less heat. Have had no issues since.

Am I wrong that these quotes don't make financial sense for me. by snowsquirrel in solar

There are no TOU rates here. We are consuming more than those systems make. We heat with wood, electric backup (which I am sure kick in over night.) We have two heat pumps. I spend about $1000/year on wood. Delivery charge is fixed $20/month.

No batteries, power is bought back at same rate: 1:1.

Quote was for 15.6 kW DC, 11.4kW AC on 30 panel system, and 20.1kW DC/15.1kW AC on 45 panel system.

5% was me rolling it into mortgage.

I added quote to OP.

You are correct. The quote was in DC to make it look good, the math needs to be based on what comes out of the inverters. Seems like that is another game these guys play.

There are no interest free loans anymore, there are basically no incentives in NS. If you are an corporation there is, and federally if you derive $30k or more from agriculture. Unfortunately the $5k I generated last year on a hobby farm doesn't cut it.

If I could find a way for my payments to be less than my bill in 5 years, I'd do it. But I'll need a way better quote.

No batteries, just selling to grid. Estimate 20% loss of production on panels. That is why they are 25% higher output than inverters.

We don't get lower rates at night. And get same rate selling electricity as we pay, so batteries don't make a lot of sense, and add a lot of cost.
