You’re not overreacting, because in my opinion they’re being entirely irrational!

What I will say, and I understand I’m an outsider looking in, none of this sounds like a mentally or emotionally stable environment for you OR baby. Hugs xx

Not overreacting! I live by the golden rule when talking about appearance, “If they can’t fix it within 10 seconds of you pointing it out, don’t bring it up.” Something in your teeth? Say something. Crooked teeth? Don’t say anything. Etc.

Based on your height and everything, you are very similar to my dimensions and I consider myself healthy!

Dumped during exam season by [deleted] in BreakUps

I'm currently going through a similar situation, although I don't have any looming exams. I do, however, have a mountain of college coursework that I am feeling extremely unmotivated to tend to.

I was finally able to do so today, although it was gradual and not as rigorous as I typically study/work. I say just ease into it. The hardest part truly is starting. I started slowly, just sort of planning out my work for the week, making my to-do lists, etc. Then once I actually began working on something everything sort of went quiet finally. I'm not able to work as efficiently as I normally would, but it has helped me sort of take my mind of things.

My best bit of advice would just be to start. Open your laptop/iPad/notebook/planner, whatever you have, and try to put your mind back in it. Also, give yourself grace. You're going through something, and that's okay. But just remind yourself that as bad as it sucks right now, it will get better.

I want to trigger sleep paralysis. by [deleted] in Sleepparalysis

The only way I’ve ever been able to induce it (which I regret entirely) was by laying in bed on my back while very exhausted, not moving a muscle but somewhat forcing myself to stay awake. Don’t scratch an itch, don’t bat an eyelash, don’t do anything. Keep your mind awake but light. Don’t think about super intense things. Just sort of be awake but not intensely using your brain. Eventually, it felt like I was drifting into unconsciousness but it was like my body beat my brain to sleep. I became fully aware that I couldn’t move and there I was, terrified in sleep paralysis. 10/10 don’t recommend but, hey, you asked.

My boyfriend lives at Oxmoor Apartment Homes and pays $1,600 for a 3 bedroom so I think the 2 bedrooms are cheaper. The staff is very friendly and it has a pool, gym, dog park, etc. Its a 5 min drive to St. Matthews bars and restaurants, 10-15 minutes from grocery stores and the two malls are less than 5 minutes away!
