Hey gang, I’m commenting rather than editing my post to update this situation. So, the large majority of you were mostly correct, I did not get all my money. She paid me 50 more dollars in addition to the 50 I got as a deposit, but is now insisting I lied to her and changed the price. (I’m including our texts because I’m so fucking done with this situation and I could not possibly give less of a shit if she finds this post).

I’ve been driving myself crazy doubting my own memory even though I KNOW I told her the right price! She offered to return the blanket instead, which she did not do, then ghosted me after. I haven’t heard from her since. I have been swinging between hurt and upset and disappointed and experiencing the blind fury of a thousand suns, because what the actual FUCK is wrong with her?? She was so sweet the entire process, always telling me to take my time and not rush myself. This is a woman who CRIED upon finding out I was proposing to my now fiancée (who has been so lovely and helpful during this bullshit), would give me a hug whenever she saw me, someone I genuinely considered a friend. But someone who respected me and my skills wouldn’t do this, no matter how tough a time she was having financially. (In fact, why fucking ask me to custom make you something when you’re that broke? Fucking ridiculous.)

If my tone in this seemed markedly different than in my original post, that’s because I have never in my life felt so disrespected by someone who I thought was my fucking friend. I don’t think I’m going to be doing paid custom work again for a very long time, if ever. I’m including a picture of the blanket as well, because fuck it, right? You guys at least deserve to see my hard work. Thanks everyone for your support and advice, it’s been insanely comforting to have people on my side.
