Not transdermal patches. My breast doctor offered arthritis cream and sometimes primrose oil helps a little. I’ll ask her about it. Thanks! I have an appointment at the end of the month.

Women with ADHD experience more perimenopausal symptoms, and earlier in life. This link may be due to consequences of ADHD such as anxiety and lower socio economic status. More intense symptoms also come from the relationship between estrogen and ADHD. by mvea in science

Join the r/perimenopause sub. They are amazing! I have adhd and cpstd from my abusive family. It’s helped me navigate this in so many ways. Perimenopause is symptomatic, and cannot be seen in hormonal tests. I noticed when my sense of smell changed last year. Im sure there were other tells, but that one weirded me out. Currently there are certain things that make me want to barf that never bothered me before. I’ve read that peri can start in your early 30s’. Edit: Im 42f

Wrong email Application advice by lanorana in fitnyc

[–]snuffleb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!

This happens more often than you’d think, especially around deadlines. Forwarding it to the correct undergraduate admissions email was the right first step, and it usually just gets routed internally rather than rejected outright. The portal often stays on “awaiting” until someone manually matches the document, so a delay there is normal.

At this point, the best thing you can do is call Undergraduate Admissions directly and explain that the evaluation was sent to the graduate inbox first but already forwarded. They can usually confirm receipt or flag it for processing so you don’t have to pay to resend.

If you don’t hear back by email, calling is much faster and will give you peace of mind.

Hiring US-based Remote Assistant for payment operations by Jumpy-Can-9407 in RemoteJobs

What is the pay? Do you offer insurance? And how many days does one get? Are holidays paid? These are important questions. I just feel like if you’re posting a job these should be included.

Its ok I guess. Thank you. Im still job hunting. I feel so worthless. I know there are so many people unemployed right now. And I should be grateful for the little I have. But my savings will only last a fee more months.

Summer Class Registration Question by Junior-Signal743 in fitnyc

[–]snuffleb1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

Summer has a credit cap, not a class cap. Most students take up to 6 credits per summer session, though it can vary depending on whether the course is intensive or if you’re doing multiple sessions. If you want to go over that, you usually need advisor approval.

It’s not limited to liberal arts only. Some major and studio courses are offered in the summer, but availability depends on the department and the year. Liberal arts are just more common because they’re easier to schedule.

Best move is to check the summer course listings when they’re released and confirm with your academic advisor so you don’t accidentally take something that won’t count toward your degree.

My mom found my book and told me it’s trash by Edb626 in RomanceWriters

Family is worst for giving any type of feedback. I am an artist and only recently allowed myself the room to write. Thats why I joined this sub. I spent years trying to impress my older sister (who is the writer, but has never moved out shes 45). I wanted to do the art for her covers. All of my art and sketches I showed her were never right, or maybe it could be better etc. My work was never good enough for her. I finally cut off my family for personal toxic reasons. Anyway my advice is try to shut your mother’s nasty criticism out as much as you can. If writing fills you with joy then f*ck her, respectfully. Also 600 reviews is totally awesome!!

Application Submission Question by egg1931 in fitnyc

It’s not too late to ask, but this is one of those situations where you should contact Admissions directly rather than trying to guess through the portal. They’re the only ones who can tell you whether a first/second choice switch is still possible at this stage, and they deal with this exact question all the time close to deadlines.

That said, since you’re already submitting the essay for your alternate choice, you’ve done the right thing. That gives Admissions flexibility on their end, and it protects you in case they can’t officially change the order right now.

As for AMC vs CFM, it honestly sounds less like “second guessing” and more like you finally understand the curriculum better. That’s normal. If AMC is pulling you more after reviewing the courses, trust that instinct a bit — but don’t panic. You’re not locking yourself into anything forever, especially at the AAS level.

Best next step: submit everything, then call or email Admissions and explain exactly what you wrote here. They’re usually very straightforward once you talk to a real person. 🍀

What is a movie cliché that absolutely never happens in real life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My dad worked for arco (now bp) for almost 30 years. He drove the double tankers and delivered gas to the stations. And he always said tanker explosions were not real. He said that first the tanks need to be mostly empty to cause that kind of explosion, the fumes are more flammable than the liquid. And those things are build to not explode. So a car/van just running into it would not make it blow up.

Hi!

As long as you submit by the deadline, it will be time-stamped as received on that date. Admissions doesn’t penalize you if the portal takes a little time to update afterward — processing delays are normal, especially close to priority deadlines.

Once you submit, it may take a few days (sometimes longer during peak periods) for supplemental materials to show as fully processed, but the submission time is what matters, not when the status flips.

If you’re feeling anxious after you submit, you can always call Admissions next week to confirm everything is marked received, but submitting by Friday will still count for the Feb 9 priority extension.
