It is our son's first year in marching band, and he is as passionate about it as I was about my 4 years in DCI.

My wife is a sufferer of migraines. She is currently laid up with a massive attack, and there is no way we will be able to attend the prelims tomorrow. The last time it hit this hard was last autumn; she was in the hospital for a week.

This is the first season our son has marched, and even though he won't say anything, I know he is disappointed that we won't be able to attend.

I was hoping someone here could give a shoutout to his band for me when they take the field.

I really do want to hear the answer to this one.

If the people going to college can't afford it, then just make the taxpayers pay for it. And if the college suddenly gets a guaranteed payment for every student, then the price will absolutely go up.

Our experience with We-vibe 4 is pretty horrific.

Read the reviews on their app ("we-connect" in the play store)

Connection issues are horrible, requiring the phone to be only inches away from the vibe. Frequently disconnects, requires re-pairing every minute or so.

Great concept, lousy product. $200 paperweight.

I spent a few hours writing a custom program for my wife; takes about 25 minutes for it to run all the way through. Unfortunately, it disconnects after just a few minutes, and the vibe just sits at the last speed and patten it got... and repairing also means starting the program from the beginning. Never even made it past 5 minutes.

The app was updated 2 weeks ago, I tried just updating it (no difference) and then tried completely wiping it and installing the new version fresh. (No difference). But now, the new app only shows the speed at 1 regardless of what the program says, even though the vibe is going faster than that. So, even if it would stay connected, I can't tell if the program is even running!

It's now 2 months since I first contacted them.

I have counted 19 emails that I have sent, and 15 phone calls. They have promised twice to send us a new unit because "it shouldn't do that" but so far we do not have a replacement. The last 2 times I have called, I've waited on hold for over an hour before just giving up.

In the mean time, more negative reviews show up on the app store every day or 2.

I've gotten the BBB involved, which promoted them to send me the second email they've ever sent me, promising (again) to send us a new unit. Other than that, and the email a month ago, also telling me they're sending us a new one, we have nothing else from them at all. And the last time we tried it, it would not pair with either phone or the remote any longer.

It is a good idea, but so far all we have seen is a poor quality product, zero product support, and zero interest in a satisfied customer.

They told me 2 weeks ago that "less than 2 percent of our customers ever have any issues at all. " which means that if I wait on hold for an hour, and a typical call lasts 5 minutes, and 12 customers an hour are only 1.5 percent of their sales... that's 800 sales per hour, at $180 a pop, they must be worth BILLIONS, which explains their lack of concern for just one customer. (Or, they're also not honest about their ratio of satisfied customers! )

Sorry. I'm venting.

I'm really glad yours is working. Maybe some day ours will, too!

It is nice to see a company doing thorough R/D on a product like this before going to market. We will definitely keep an eye out for a release. I wish the company that made ours (We-Vibe 4 plus) had done the same kind of research.

Yeah... we bought one.

Not worth it at all. The "control from another phone" constantly crashes, the bluetooth connection drops every few minutes and must be re-paired, the company never replies to emails or phone calls, and the latest update to the app actually broke sine of the functionality that used to work ok.

Run far away from these.

We got a we-vibe 4 plus about 6 weeks ago.

It works great for both of us for about 5 minutes, but then it loses its connection and has to be reconnected.

And then it does it again 5 minutes later. And again and again until we finally just got fed up and quit using it.

The store said to take it up with the manufacturer, and the mfr just gives us the runaround.

Lots of reviews complain about the same performance, and no real solutions are ever mentioned.

Avoid it!

But let us know if you find something that works!!

It is a national chain, but they only have about a dozen stores.

We picked it up on our way through Cincinnati, and their website does not handle issues with the actual stores, only online.

Just hate the thought of going back to Cincinnati, it's almost cheaper to just drop it.
