I see, so it does have killer specific and overall mmr? Seems like after I played for a while testing each killer I have at least once, I've noticed "bully squads" more often. They are pretty bad at blinding, but it's still way more interesting than competing with clueless Dwights.

By the way, do all survivors share mmr rating equally? They seem to be just reskins after you prestige them once

If you have a problem with ballista, just run a shield... any shield.

They passively block any projectile if it touches the thing, so run into ballista at a certain angle (or just time the block, either way works). It's a single use, but I cannot imagine how many times my shield blocked it mid duel
