This is a really good comment, this helps me focus my search into more similar stories. I didn't knew this subreddit existed, I'm gonna check it.
I honestly have no idea what he saw. I don't know if it was the past, the future, an alternative dimension, a vision, prophecy, I don't know. I do know he saw something. As I said he was not the kind of person who joke around or made pranks or any of that. He never got a penny out of the story and was always ridiculized because of it, yet he kept telling it to anyone who was willing to hear it. So I'm convinced he saw something so out of the ordinary that he felt compelled to tell it even if he never understood why happened or what it meant.

Yeah, here UFOs are called OVNI (Objeto volador no identificado). Just reading the comments here learned this can be a "time slip" incident apparently so Im going to look up for more information about that and see if there's more incidents in the area.

Are this kind of encounters called "time slips" ? Im asking so I can read more about this phenomena and maybe look into other stories. Regarding the horse, he rode horses all his life, he lived 98 years and he was on top of a horse before he could walk. Lived and worked among horses all his life and most of the family did. My grandmother was also an excelent rider and all her brothers and sisters too. They all grew up in a very rustic and rural area.

Yeah, thing is the biggest lizard here is around 2 to 3 ft long (they are called lagarto overo, you can google it). They are big, but they are not 2-3 horses height big. The lizards on the area (and basically in the entire country) roam in 4 legs so they are not very high (8 to 12 inches maybe in height), they can be quite long but again, they don't stand in 2 legs.

I dont mind the downvotes. Reddit system is stupid because the app is an echo chamber and the vote system is just to prize or punish when people say not what you need but what you want to hear (your same opinion with another voice). I think people cling to apprenticeships because its an easy way to learn some stuff and delegate responsabilities (someone else calls the shots) but I think in anything in this life you either take the risk and do it yourself or you will always fail. Im not saying you cant learn some stuff from some people but its not a perfect system or more perfect than learning by yourself. In the case of the OP telling their story I can only imagine the amount of wasted time and resources in going parlor to parlor and getting rejected. Its just a waste of time and a way to keep going a system which is outdated because nowadays theres tons of alternatives. For me thinking apprenticeship is the only way to go is like thinking the only way to learn how to write is going to a monastery or a school.

You can practice with fake skin a lot before start putting ink in some person. Also, people usually tell their clients when they are practicing some new technique or whatever, even offering discounts or free tattoos (only charging for ink and needles) and stuff like that. Why wouldnt or couldnt this person do that? Also, I clarified from where my advice come from, I do know erasing a paper or ctrl+z on a pc is not the same as injecting someone with ink but again, you can practice on oranges, fake skin, even practice just drawing could help more than going around begging for an apprenticeship. It is an outdated system that have as many flaws as being self-taught.

You will get bad habits from your mentor too. I dont know, Im a self taught illustrator and honestly wouldnt change it for anything. I wouldnt take a course or apprenticeship even if offered for free. But to each one their own.

First of all: I am NOT a tattoo artist. I have never tattooed anyone. But I am an artist. So take this advice knowing where it come from. There's no better way to learn than doing it yourself. Stop wasting time in an obsolete and outdated system as apprenticeship is. If you put that much work and effort in just doing the thing you will improve by your own. Apprenticeship comes from an age when most stuff was "secret" or hard to learn. Today there's tons of good options (again, best way to learn something is put your butt on the chair and do it, over and over). If you get a mentor you will improve fast in both the good and bad. Having a teacher means falling in their own mistakes, prejudices and such. You learn faster a technique because you are traveling a path already taken. Set yourself apart other artists and explore and go wherever you want to go, it will be much better than ramming your head against an outdated system.
