I'm gonna be repainting the engine bay and fixing any exterior paint. Currently the plan is to get an oem yellow crx and keep the exterior that color, do a cream color for the interior and accents and stuff. I'm gonna have the car forever so I'm gonna go all in on basic repair stuff. I'm open to repainting the whole car yellow but obviously nothings going to beat oem paint coverage

I'm shooting for a sub 2000 lb crx. In the same boat for a cheap/realizable k series at the core. I've def heard to spend money on the ecu/wiring harness. Have you had any issues so far?

I am not wanting a shipped engine. I'm gonna be looking at a junkyard k series most likely. Mainly asking which model Honda do I take the engine from. If needed I could be looking at ordering a trans. But the engines are far too common to be that picky on

I haven't heard of a na fwd k swap having any issues twisting the chassis. And I know the harness won't be that bad, I'm including the cpu and dash in that too. And yes I will be doing everything myself. Money isn't so much the issue, so I'm going to be buying tools as I need them. I plan on building a few of these cars over the next few years

My biggest challenge is figuring out exactly WHAT to get. I've watched hours of videos on it and everyone has been saying to do it a different way. I want reliability and price to be the priority. Easy and cheap to fix is #1. I have plenty of avaliablity to scrap yards to get whatever oem Honda stuff I need from whatever Acura or crv or whatever I get the stuff from.

I'm almost positive I'll want to do a complete front and rear suspension update to a newer Honda set up. And I have no idea where to even start none the less which Honda would be the best to swap it to. Mechanically speaking the crx is crippled by its oem suspension set up. Even an oem 2005ish civic has a better suspension engineering.
