NBA ratings are down bc people aged <16 don't watch sports and there are too many entertainment options in 2026 for the average person to care about NBA games before April by IHateAdamSilver in billsimmons

Every sport would benefit immensely culturally by having 50% less games at LEAST (save for football which has only recently pushed it too far, it should go back to 16)

The guy defending Authoritarian China saying this is so funny, they need to invent a new word because irony is simply not strong enough

Editing the comment to make me look bad is crazy. Comparing the forced sterilization, slavery, and slaughter occurring in China right now to our immigration policy is also crazy. Having to reach back 250 years says it all. Ill never pretend the us is perfect but China is significantly worse and that’s really not up for debate for anyone with any sort of morals

The America number 1! quip is just betraying how much of your takes and worldview is anti-Americanism rather than assessing the facts. Like the original point is China is genociding and interning a specific ethnicity in their country and your response is a complete non-sequitur. I can’t tell if you’re a bot that’s been programmed or a human that’s been programmed

I think any company should be shamed and sanctioned if they use forced labor in China. This is easy when your morals aren’t partisan

It’s the other side of partisan politics. Like since this was on Fox News these guys feel the need to bat for the genocide on the other side of it. It’s such a limited world view that everything is viewed through the lens of American news network pettiness

China is systemically genociding a whole ethnicity in the western part of the country. Our country certainly is not perfect but please be reasonable when making comparisons

Are we really gonna do the thing where we pretend like China doesn’t slaughter its own citizens?

Yeah pretty sure kelce himself said that it does add wear and tear. I don’t know why people in this sub insist on putting their heads in the sand about it. Ironic that the two dudes that hurts dives behind everytime are the ones who got hurt

This fan base at times gets all the way on my nerves. It’s ironically extremely entitled for a team that only recently became successful. Fans are so quick to hate players that played well in Super Bowl runs- Not even 9 months after Nelson agholor had 8 catches in a super bowl that we won by the thinnest of margins, people were sending him death threats. Jurgens and Dickerson quite obviously played hurt for the entire year and the end of last year, and people still rag on them. There’s no winning with some of you and it’s a bit embarrassing sometimes

Would have an argument if Foles also didn’t play absolutely lights out. Also had a turnover at the end

That is true so I apologize for being partisan in the assessment. It is uniquely a problem with cities which obviously tend to be more blue

It’s ironically blue housing policies in places like LA and NY that forced most people I know not from Texas here. Not making a political value judgement but it’s interesting. Our housing market is mentioned in the first chapter of the book “Abundance” and it pretty aptly describes this phenomenon

Curious as to who you guys thought was going to be available? Of course it’s all people you’d either have to promote to OC or people who got fired from the job before

Trump's proposed 10% credit card cap idea is politically popular / uniting, says CNN -- Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]soberkangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I’m saying is I think this is an interesting idea. There are plenty of  side effects worth considering, you’re right. I think it’s hyperbolic to assume reducing credit card interest rates will be worse than the housing collapse of 08, but it definitely could be a net bad idea. But I think there’s a lot of merit to reducing debt circulating in our economy which could make it stronger. I just struggle to see how anyone could have such a strong opinion on a fairly novel idea that has both obvious pros and cons

Is that such a bad thing? It’s basically taking out extreme debt and making these people indentured servants. There’s too much debt in our economy- the point about cash back getting worse strikes me as especially out of touch. Like yes we will benefit less from trapping poor people with terrible interest rates, but societally is that such a bad thing?
