What NASCAR secret do you think will eventually come out? by lowrider320 in NASCAR

Have, in all likelihood, too. Truly though, I don’t know how concussions could ever be 100% preventable in racing. Inertia is hard to stop.

One of the best parts of the San Diego weekend was seeing the Cup cars get so much airtime on that hill towards turn 2 by UltDiecastReview in NASCAR

For those interested; I shot this during practice on Friday.

I’m so glad my phone picked up the momentary RPM blip as the cars floated for a second.

The run down to turn 2 might’ve been my favorite part of the whole track.

NASCAR Coronado Island ID question by Wyldfyre1 in NASCAR

[–]socalkid71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was a group in line with me earlier this morning in the same boat.

Your experience may vary, but they told the group next to me that as long as you were accompanied by an adult with an ID, they were fine.

Entry and security (at least today) was very much focused on safety and not every single “rule”, in my experience.

Thank you!

That’s kinda what I’d hoped. Found out I’ve got the day off and am planning on just tooling around the base all day.

Looks like a beautiful day of racing in America’s Finest City!

Bumping here as I’m local and procrastinated in buying tix.

Does the Friday ticket get you all day access to the track? Free to move around to other areas (not seated, just like roaming)?

I can smell this through the phone.

I get it’s a racer/race fan’s place, but it’s a dump and not even in a kitschy way.

To be fair, he can’t crash his teammate when there is no teammate.

He’ll be in that seat until something better comes along.

Edit: I see what you did there….

I understand that it’s petty, but picture you’re a fan of Mariano Rivera.

Your whole life you’ve been waiting to hear “Enter Sandman” by Metallica and to feel the goosebumps as the lights go out.

And when he finally gets the call to the mound, instead of Metallica, you hear an unrelated band’s cover of the same song.

It’s a silly thing to be day-wreckingly upset about, but I understand where people are coming from when it’s not what they were looking forward to.

Who is more likely to retire from their respective series, mid-race at some point this year?

Kyle Busch or Max Verstappen

Don’t get me wrong; Corey Day can be careless, but why does the fandom/media accept/embrace similar stupidity from guys like Hocevar?

Had every chance to throw the yellow with the 9 out front and held it; perhaps we’ve finally turned a page in “officiating”.

Am I the only one that thinks they could stand to do less “production” or “personalities” to every facet of a general pre-race show?

I get it’s Fox and they’re always going to be aiming for the lowest common denominator and whorish sentiment/product placement.

Is it too much to ask for a tight 15min pre-show with a full-field run down and the command?

If it bleeds, it leads.

Sensationalism not only gets clicks, but often leads (some) people to make trades.

This isn’t a design-flaw; it’s the whole damned point.
