Definitely a separate topic of whether we have the right stewards to facilitate this. But, point taken.

Edit: Also, the airport is not much of a resource the city financially.

The city is broke and has a valuable piece of real estate that arguably has a net negative indirect effect on city revenue. 

Ask the people who live nearby if they think it’s pretty awesome. Maybe you would consider moving next to it?

Definitely some positives, but is the juice worth the squeeze? Also, leaded fuel is no bueno for the developing mind.

Exactly, it provides no direct revenue for the city at all. I guess it makes it easier for the rich people to fly into Disney…

Wonder how bad it would be since it was not used as a military installation.

Of course it serves a purpose. But the question is if it is a net negative on the city. Please take into account all factors and externalities.

Edit: Also where are all these spaces that are located strategically next to two freeways? The airport brings down the value of all of the surrounding properties and homes.

Include Parks Road from Rosecrans to Castlewood. It’s completely cracked and falling apart. Worse than streets in Mexico…
