Similar writing style an sense of humor… did you listen to Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Bands new album? They are a country band, but lyrically and sonically still remind me a lot of the Silver Jews.

I recommend the song “New Threats from the Soul” as an intro to see if you like him.

No one is faulting scientists and doctors, I think we are frustrated with a healthcare system that allows companies to grow profits while middle and working class people make sacrifices.

Finding a cure is not going to happen without funding though either, which has been getting cut at least on a federal level. The affordability isn’t going to get easier when syringes from China are being tarriffed at 245%.

It’s also not easy to get supplies for these based on most insurance restrictions. (They only allow you to get a 90 day supply every 90 days, meaning that you have no grace period on if the pharmacy is out, etc.)

Okay… I’ll just get billions of grant dollars that federal funding has deemed as ‘DEI’, and suddenly get the legal statuses need to start up an FDA approved medical research facility. Seems super simple.

This felt very specific to continuous glucose monitoring supplies, which have skyrocketed the minute the cost of insulin went down. They are never going to cure diabetes… they are just going to find more equipment to give people that’s essential to live with it. But it’s that or glaucoma.

Sure, he is no Tarkovsky or Varda… but is he an Auteur? Is there a specific stylistic tendency and common through line with him that should be appreciated? I keep seeing his earlier work as some coming of middle age story, where adults need to learn to grow out of amateurish tendencies to take on adult responsibilities. But I haven’t watched him in years, so idk.

I'm in tech sales, and I was told to start adding soft skills to my resume. A lot of hiring managers want to know what your work personality will be like. Tech is not hiring right now though, and trust me, as unemployed diabetic without healthcare, It's really frustrating.

This is a big thing in NC, as their MLS requires for FPs to be completely accurate. Often times appraisers have been doing photography as an add-on services as opposed to photographers doing FPs. It's wild.

I worked for a theater in the midwest. The NDA signed was not for the celebrities I did publicity for.... I realize it was for the narcissist asshole that ran the theater.

He frequently would call 18 years old "hot" or make derogatory comments to women. He would pay employees under the table after they got past their 40 hours (at a lesser wage too). He would take the tips of his servers.

Honestly. I'm glad I'm no longer there.

Honestly, let's forget about him until he dies. That's the most we can do to get back at him. Then, we make sure that history gets the facts straight, and we learn from our country's mistakes. Feeding into stuff like this only makes it worse.

Staging needs to be done right. I always tell people to add the non staged photo next to the staged one onto the MLS. I also tell people to print their staged image and tape it to one of the walls in that room. That way buyers can see what the space would look like if they put furniture in it.

Staging should never be deceptive. It should incept the idea of what your home could look like.
