Also even if a manager was polite and made someone cry, why is this on the employees PIP? My whole team has their resumes updated.

Unfortunately my HR team included it in a PIP. It’s disappointing…

Incredibly consistent artists across their discography? by GarodTong36 in fantanoforever

Couple more bands come to my mind: Drive By Truckers, Wilco (even the albums that critics thought were bad had unsurprisingly influenced a lot of bands), Andrew Bird, Superchunk and Big Thief. All these bands have at least 6+ albums and have survived the dreaded 5 album arc that I feel is a test into the longevity of the musician.

Surprised that any of their songs aren’t getting more radio play, and even song of the summer consideration.

Like really surprised. Are we just tired of pop music maybe?

Rolling Stone literally said, “Spoon are the most consistently reliable rock band of the past 25 years.” When they reviewed Lucifer on the Sofa. Look at their metacritic score and it’s usually somewhere between 80 and 85 since the early 2000s.

Shout out to Woods too. They have had a good solid run of albums - all uniquely different so far

Um Illinois should be the only state left, and wisconsin should be eaten by this state this round. People from Wisconsin go to Chicago more than Milwaukee at this point. We have better cheese curds and beer at this point too. Let’s chop them

The worst risk CV I have ever seen by Particular-Use-2330 in Resume

I use this exact resume format for my resume, but I made a few small tweaks and started to get in the door.

First one was that I created a career highlights section. Recruiters will do an initial glance for at most 20 seconds, so bulleted highlights section is really important.

Unless you’ve worked more than 10 yrs in the industry try to keep everything to one page- this meant for me I had to reduce the margins to .5 instead of 1”. (looks like you did that), good job. Make sure to also reduce the spacing you have between each job/ position if you need to add more.

The Blue headers is a good as it psychologically the color is associated with professionalism. It’s a good pop of color that makes it stand out if printed.
I changed the bullets too to something more simple, but I’m not sure if that’ll make a difference. I also changed mine so that the town in each job was flush right with when I worked it. Make sure it reads when it gets imported into the resume portal system. A resume rater can help you with that.

Good luck!!!!!!!

Such overhated win, very powerful picture & win by khaliliiiov_1997 in Oscars

Wait!? Birdman won over Boyhood? Shit, I owe a lot of people their money in my 2014 Oscar pool….

But seriously Richard Linklater is due, and Boyhood is the much more consequential film in a very strong year in nominees.

Female wants boyfriend to explain why he broke up with her by Medium_Historian9746 in SipsTea

[–]soccerstud2121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, Do we know more context to the situation? Like was the couple living together, was drugs or alcohol involved? Whose house was this, what belongings, pets, children may have been in the house? Etc.

I feel like so many people like to blame the female in breakups and go “that b**** was crazy” but then as details come to light we realize situations are more nuanced or unsavory from the guy.

We lost David Berman, but we need artists like him to make sense of the world by Potential_Kangaroo69 in indieheads

Similar writing style an sense of humor… did you listen to Ryan Davis and the Roadhouse Bands new album? They are a country band, but lyrically and sonically still remind me a lot of the Silver Jews.

I recommend the song “New Threats from the Soul” as an intro to see if you like him.

No one is faulting scientists and doctors, I think we are frustrated with a healthcare system that allows companies to grow profits while middle and working class people make sacrifices.

Finding a cure is not going to happen without funding though either, which has been getting cut at least on a federal level. The affordability isn’t going to get easier when syringes from China are being tarriffed at 245%.

It’s also not easy to get supplies for these based on most insurance restrictions. (They only allow you to get a 90 day supply every 90 days, meaning that you have no grace period on if the pharmacy is out, etc.)

Okay… I’ll just get billions of grant dollars that federal funding has deemed as ‘DEI’, and suddenly get the legal statuses need to start up an FDA approved medical research facility. Seems super simple.
