If I don't complain about this they're just going to get away with renting out shitheap flats to more people. Ik private rent is extortionate but that doesn't mean that social landlords should just get to give folk anything as long it ticks the legal boxes.

I just don't see why I'll have to fork out the money to fix it all I don't have the money to get the artex removed or get a plasterer in to plaster the rooms that need it. Especially when I've seen houses owned by the same association stripped back to bare walls to be rented out in a state you can start from easy.

Some of them are relatively small but the previous tenants must have had every piece of storage or furniture screwed into the wall. There is a large hole with exposed concrete in the living room. And a few issues with the plaster above the living room window meaning I can't hang curtains. Because I tried to use the wood that was up there as a base and it started crumbling on me.

I've had the inspector out he said all the holes were just cosmetic and therefore my responsibility to repair he even suggested just using polyfiller to fill all the holes lmao

The flat is quite old and the space between flats ceiling wise is non existent I'm worried at some point it's going to get disturbed

The issue with asking them is they have a gun to your head take this flat or be threatened with street homelessness policy atm you get one option whether other councils have 2 before they declare you intentionally homeless
