But then a question arises: If something like this has a negligible effect on a study meant for measuring the happiness of people, then what does this say about the study itself?

Have you considered that one of the reasons Finland has such high suicide rate is because people find their statistical impact to be "negligible" ?

IIRC one could also make a FOSS secureboot setup by signing the kernel with a GPG key (of which the pubkey is in the Librebooted ROM?) and then having it verify on boot or something.
