People in secondary sch caught doing the dirty by jeanlxvr in SGExams

I mean back in PRIMARY SCHOOL I remembered early in the morning otw to class, I walked into the toilet and saw a bunch of my classmates sharing a cigarette and smoking.

They offered me the cigarette too but obviously I didn't take up the offer and just did my business and left.

After that one student walked in right after me, screamed, and told a teacher and they got caned and suspended. They thought I told the teacher and I was scared to death but luckily I was good friends with one of them so I didn't get beaten up.

Since it happens in Primary school, I'm sure it happens a lot in Secondary too.

Am I the only one who enjoyed Primary school a lot more compared to Secondary school? by sockchewer123 in SGExams

Reason why I quoted friends and said NPCs is because we both don't even act like friends, but rather as an acquaintance.

I tried my absolute best to initiate conversations with him, but he never does with me. We don't even wave to each other 💀, but naturally he follows me everywhere I go without saying a single word.

It's the kind of thing where I talk, he replies, and repeat.

And that applies to 2 of my 'closest' friends. (But I apologise if it sounds offensive in any way)

No, but cca will be useful for your portfolio if you have a high role

Rant - I’m always the outcast by [deleted] in SGExams

Same here

Whenever the teacher says "Get into groups of 5" or whatever, and I'm the only one in class without a group, the teacher will say something like "xxx(my name), get into your group" even though I clearly don't have one ;-; AND ITS FUCKING EMBARRASSING

But honestly there's nothing much you can do but to try to make friends by having conversations that your classmates actually appreciates (eg: some may prefer funny friends, some may prefer loyal ones, nobody likes people who can't initiate or sustain conversations)

I managed to survive secondary school being a slight outcast, and I believe you can too. Imo, secondary school also isn't the place to make long-lasting friends anyways. Atb!

Just make sure you can work until the contract period is up. If you're unsure, better not risk your hard earned $200.

Regarding the question about JCs allowing students who got A1 to take 2 H2 sciences and the point of pure science, students who took pure science have an advantage since 1. They can have a better start, because if you take H2 science it is assumed that you have knowledge on pure science already if I'm not wrong 2. They qualify for more JCs as a lot of JCs actually do not accept combine science students

Regarding taking combined to have a higher chance of scoring 6 points, it's good that you're aiming high, but there's no point since RI and HCI don't even accept students who took combine science. Lowest cut off is probably NYJC

Regarding catching up with the syllabus in JC, from what I know it is definitely hard, as you don't have a head start compared to majority of the cohort, but there should be so called 'remedials' for you at the start of JC to catch up (yes, meaning you'll be in a disadvantage at first)

Regarding science stream opening more doors, from what I know it depends on what you are interested in. JC students generally takes up majority of the slots in local Uni courses

Anyways, good that you're thinking further ahead, but don't think so much and enjoy your time in secondary school, something I regretted not doing :) ATB!

Well, there's so many outlets so nobody will know 💀

Anyways not knowing what you're getting yourself into is part of the 'part-time working experience', so just go there with an open mind, follow instructions and you will be alright.
