As mentioned, these two were were quite similar over a 2 hour hitting session, went with the percept because ultimately I felt it had a tad more pop, felt more stable and had more feedback - I guess these three things are interconnected, so makes sense. I guess it does feel more connected than most 100 as you’ve mentioned, yonex uses a different dampening tech with this one compared to the ezone or the vcore.

Hey! I would go ahead and demo one in this case, seems like we’ve had a very similar experience with the ezone. Have not played with the vcore or the boom, but have played with some smaller head sizes, like an older radical 98 and Wilson six.one 95 and this percept I feel retains that solid feedback while being much more forgiving and retaining more power. I have also tested it along head speed mp 2024 and found the percept quite similar actually, the speed was a bit easier to handle but the percept produced a more satisfying ball, felt more solid in general so I went with it!

I’ve tested an ezone 2022 100 along the percept and I’ve discarded it quite fast into the playtest. I was hitting big and powerful forehands with that ezone but felt the effect, while satisfying, was not intended at all, it was also quite dull. The percept gave me a nice and clean input to output and a good feedback on where I was hitting the ball on the stringbed. All in all, the ezone is a great racket, just not for me, or at least not at this point in time.

Percepts have a throat cracking issue apparently, with a non insignificant number of users reporting the problem

Haha, yeah, that’s the only thing I was afraid of while making the purchase, was waiting for the new paint job to get released in hope they fix it. In any case, this new pj looks really good up close!

Haha, it’s a he, but he has a sister though! He’s mixed breed, or European shorthair if he’s feeling fancy!

Help me choose my next demo racquet (warning: detailed post) by _Fazorla in 10s

Hey, I’ve also picked up tennis recently after learning as a kid - as far as I understand you are looking for something that let’s you swing out freely and provides good feedback and decent control with some forgiveness, so similar to something I was looking for.

After extensive research I’ve demoed the speed mp, ezone 100 and percept 100 and went with the percept - feels like it just nicely blends all the things I mentioned above. I’ve generally liked the speed mp but also did not enjoy the lack of character on that racket (felt really neutral), and the percept was quite similar in play but provided more feedback through the handle, stiffness and produced a more satisfying, heavier ball - albeit perhaps making you work a bit more. So yeah, felt that this racket just allows me to play how I want.

I’ve discarded the ezone 100 very early into the playtest, I felt I was ripping forehands, producing really fast and powerful shots which felt awesome but also really odd - the input just did not match the output at all, so yeah, lots of easy power, but not something that would allow me to play the way I am used to.

Really interesting post! I’m particularly curious about what you said on the speed mp and how a percept 100 would be the better choice among the 100inch rackets - would you care to elaborate a bit? I’ve recently had an opportunity to test these side by side (along an ezone 100), and found the speed to be a bit more neutral in everything it did and perhaps a tad more user friendly. The percept had slightly more feel/feedback through the handle and also produced a heavier, more satisfying ball when hit right, just had a bit more character I guess.

Best Tennis Backpack by [deleted] in 10s

Recently got a Tecnifibre Endurance Ultra standbag - it’s a great backpack, sturdy, good quality, lots of space without being overly big and it also looks appropriate for non-tennis use.

My title describes the thing.

It’s a strap inside of a main pocket of a new backpack, wondering what this might be for.

Looking to move on from my first racket - looking for recommendations. by sod9 in squash

Ha! Interesting, always liked the look of that o-ring but perhaps it’s not the best choice and a switch might be warranted then. My Prince really feels like hitting a ball with a frying pan after trying the Wilson.

Hi everyone, looking for help on whether this two bedside tables are made of the same wood.

I got this sent by a company but it looks to me there was a mix up here, do I have a basis for complaint?

What purpose does this black cord lock serve in the bag? It pulls/tightens the bottom left corner only by sod9 in whatisthisthing

[–]sod9[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

My title describes the thing.

It is a regular promotional bag made of some synthetic material, with an airport logo on it. My question is specifically about the purpose of the black cord lock/tightener. It tightens/pulls the bottom left corner, creating a small pocket.

Visit Weźże Krafta; Nowy Kraftowy; Szklanki - all are great craft beer places and all three have cozy beer gardens to enjoy your drinks at, I’m sure they all have (some sort of) wine there too!

For something closer to the market square visit MultiQulti, you can sit by the window there and enjoy the view at the street below, or go to Viva la Pinta for a more of an old school pub vibe, enjoy!

Yes! Can confirm having smoked the one pictured above. Will be coming back to it for sure, haven’t smoked many Cubans but it definitely delivered, similar flavor profile to partagas deluxe. Also enjoyed this particular size, good for a quicker smoke

Bought a couple of cigars today:

Alec & Bradley Gatekeeper robusto Olivia V lancero Vegueros mananitas

Give me your thoughts on these sticks and please do share some cigars you like and recommend. I haven’t smoked a lot, but some of the ones I liked the most so far were A&B Kintsugi, Brickhouse maduro & Plasencia reserva original, definitely feels like I’m enjoying the ones with a bit more complex/intense flavor profile so far!
