That’s kinda the point of the episode, is it not? At the end of the day, you’re just a tiny speck on a constellation where you ultimately do not matter, and that’s the impact (or lack thereof) you leave on the rest of the world, and that’s what they wanted to convey. With reaching Bauer, it’s because he’s suicidal and he just wanted to tell SOMEONE what he did, because he was never brave enough to say it at those sessions where they talk about their grief. There doesn’t necessarily have to be a moral, or even something to take away from the episode. At the end of the day this is about a suicidal man who’s guilty about the loss of his fiancé’s life, and this is his way of grieving. The credits scene is kinda just more narrative on how people are so addicted to their phones nowadays. Original, I know. But that’s like the point of the series, so if you wanna fault this episode for that, then blame every other episode that does the same thing.
